About 8 of them from Kickouts.Only 26 touches. Drop him
Walsh has been hard tagged and still best on in multiple games yet I'm told he's not fit to tie Nicks shoelaces.

This kick out thing cracks me up. Dozens of players do it every round but Nicks the only soft **** apparently. I think you’ll find I’ve been highly complimentary of Walsh in here. He’s a gunAbout 8 of them from Kickouts.

He’s about 85% for the season which is miles above most players. He’ll get better once he matures hopefully.
I don't find the kick out thing a detrimental part of his game, hes a very good kick. This kick out thing cracks me up. Dozens of players do it every round but Nicks the only soft utensil apparently. I think you’ll find I’ve been highly complimentary of Walsh in here. He’s a gun
Ok. He’s 20. He’s bound to have a few mid 20 possession shockersI don't find the kick out thing a detrimental part of his game, hes a very good kick.
But to say he had 25 touches is relatively useless when almost a 3rd of them were from him doing quite literally stepping 10cm out of a painted on rectangle and kicking it 60m down the line.
Of course. And the fact he plays for Collingwood means he’s the biggest campaigner to ever walk the earth also.Bit different with his role tonight which is basically been Walsh’s role from day dot.

I put a stat up previously on another thread . Prior to todays game he was averaging 3.66 kick outs a game, and averaging 36.66 disposals a game.I don't find the kick out thing a detrimental part of his game, hes a very good kick.

And I was discussing this weeks game when the mythical, untaggable, 75kg superstar got the clamps put on him by a soft tag and had next to no impact on the game, the same game his stats looked better off due to half a dozen kick ins due to Adelaide's horrific accuracy in front of goals.I put a stat up previously on another thread . Get over it, it is now 2023.And I was discussing this weeks game when the mythical, untaggable, 75kg superstar got the clamps put on him by a soft tag and had next to no impact on the game, the same game his stats looked better off due to half a dozen kick ins due to Adelaide's horrific accuracy in front of goals.
When unchecked he is without a doubt one of the most damaging players in the competition but lay a glove on him and he all of the sudden seemed quite susceptible to turnovers and poor decisions. Something the other player in this thread has had to deal with for multiple years now.
According to who? First time he was shown any sort of physical pressure on the weekend and he didn't even look like an elite half back let alone top 3 player in the comp. Walsh has been tagged in games and still been best on comfortably, once Nick gets past that maybe he can be considered a top player.Get over it, it is now 2023.
Walsh is yesterday's news, whilst Naicos is generally now regarded as one of the top 3 players in the competition (with J. Cameron and Bontempelli).
Fair effort for a 20 year old...
And yet Daicos still managed to come good in the 4th Quarter, and make a couple of vital contributions to his team's victory. If I was a Collingwood fan, I'd find that very reassuring for the future of my team and my player. And I was discussing this weeks game when the mythical, untaggable, 75kg superstar got the clamps put on him by a soft tag and had next to no impact on the game, the same game his stats looked better off due to half a dozen kick ins due to Adelaide's horrific accuracy in front of goals.

Gun player impacts a few times in the 4th quarter of a game after being pretty ordinary for the rest of it... not sure if thats news worthy. And yet Daicos still managed to come good in the 4th Quarter, and make a couple of vital contributions to his team's victory. Be true to yourself....Gun player impacts a few times in the 4th quarter of a game after being pretty ordinary for the rest of it... not sure if thats news worthy.
Daicos is an absolute freak and in the I have no doubts we'll look at him as a great of the game regardless of if he's a touch soft, he's an uncontested weapon capable of tearing teams apart when left unchecked.
The squabbling is in reference to Pies fans who continually waffled on that he's an untaggable beast who could outrun Usain bolt, that he's better than GAJ, Judd and every other great of the game despite never showing the slightest inclination to being able to handle some close attention from an opposition player. Same happened vs Sydney last year vs Clarke.
When he shows he can break the tag and not shirk contests under more physical pressure he'll elevate his status in my eyes, I'd have probably 20 players ahead of him in the game today as they also win their own ball.
Wouldn't have a clue. Walsh was in vogue 2 seasons ago, now Daicos, next year will be Ashcroft.Be true to yourself....
If Walsh and Naicos are on the open market tomorrow with the same price tag on their heads who are clubs choosing?
Not really.Wouldn't have a clue. Walsh was in vogue 2 seasons ago, now Daicos, next year will be Ashcroft.
What I do know is Walsh came 2nd in the MVP, got 30 Brownlow votes trying to carry a team on his back and also goes in for hardballs. If I wanted a young midfield who oozes leadership for a club I'd take Walsh. If I wanted a freakishly good offensive weapon but requires his team to get him involved I'd go Daicos.
It's splitting hairs ol' Fudgenator.
It's currently 52.8/47.2 Fudge.Not really.
You're clearly as biased as they come, what with your user name 'Walshisthegoat'.
99.9% of other observers are going for Nick Daicos. And you know it.
Agree. You wouldn't mind having both in your team for the next 10 years that's for sure.
A thread that was started in Nov. last year. It's currently 52.8/47.2 Fudge.
Have you never seen Messi vs Ronaldo online discussions for the last 20 years?Agree.
I just find it interesting that people have to talk down one player in order to talk up another, hence a reality check was required for your Carlton supporting friend...
Nope. Soccer doesn't interest me.Have you never seen Messi vs Ronaldo online discussions for the last 20 years?
No mention of the rest of my comment as it's 100% correct.A thread that was started in Nov. last year.
Suggest Daicos has gone to a new, and dare I say unprecedented, level this year.
Which coaches and list managers are taking Walsh ahead of Naicos if given the option today?
Get real old boy.
I ignored the rest of your comment as it wasn't worth responding to. I stopped reading when you said 'there was talk of Walsh being one of the best ever'... only in your deluded mind!No mention of the rest of my comment as it's 100% correct.
