Ermm even Peter didn't get 'universal' acclaim.

Surely you remember a former great player commenting that Peter's rolling, bouncing goals were sheer luck . . . . . ?

And Peter's ironic reply??

"It's funny you know . . . the more I practice it the luckier I get".
Early in Bradman's career some thought he'd be found out for all his cross bat shots. Stop being so sensitive and carrying wounds over such minor criticisms from people who got it wrong.

What is your prediction today for the young fella?
I'm tipping a quiet one and 32 disposals 600m gained, 10 inside 50, 6 contested possessions, 1 goal and 8 score involvements under a tag.

from my Delorean
Yeah but but half of those disposals were kick ins 🤣

Do you walk around with your phone held before you like a priest with his bible preparing a sermon, wondering obliquely if at any moment life may be snuffed out by some car or truck not spotted with both eyes fixed on a screen? Because, when out and about, both me and them, these are the people who achtung me the most. Morons staring at phones ignoring the collision course that their mindlessness has set. As though their every waking moment is beset with screen responsibilities that have to be met.
Nah I just hate telly. Except for sport. So it is.

Will be interesting to see if Clarke plays on him again and whether they try and shift him forward earlier.
I hope Clarke plays on him. He’ll burn him and the media will go back to “well, even superstars can have an off day”.

He had it last week, just as every superstar has it. But we know how driven this kid is and will come out even better

Two kicks that moved the ball forward about 50 metres & a smother.
Not his best game but he still kept putting in.
That's the sort of work rate that will, in due course, see him eating taggers for breakfast.

Didn’t notice that on game day…. Awesome stuff. He will play ugly when required.

He gained another 20 metres with the smother!

I was at the game and Nick was noticeably hobbling when he came back on and for another quarter or so, looked like he was trying to run out a corky or a knock. Definitely affected his running capacity and IMO contributed to him trailing Keays on the fast breaks (as highlighted in the media this week) - he could barely get out of a trot for a while. Looked much better by the last quarter though.

He also attended more centre bounces this week and was getting a lot of attention (read: holding) from Keays in there, will be interesting to see if that time in the middle continues and what he's been able to learn from the scragging.
