It was Nick who handballed to Pendlebury in that passage. Insane that he then got on the end of the kick.

While the dual Brownlow medallist was caught ball watching Nick knew what was on and was off.

His football IQ and game sense is off the charts.

The dual Brownlow medallist was outplayed by several of our mids, in Daicos, Crisp, Pendles, & Mitchell who only have 1 Brownlow between them (which is shocking in itself!)

In all fairness, Neale is an outstanding player who could have used a bit more help yesterday!

Just the way Nick gets front and square, knew where the trailing player was and the lightning hands... What a combination of discipline, skill and pure genetic talent. Coaches dream. Full of "good boy good boy" energies.

I'm getting the sense that his game yesterday is going to be underrated by opposition fans. But us Pies fans who will watch the replay 100 times will appreciate just how influential he was yesterday (along with 5 or more others of course).

He was involved in a lot of crucial passages. Enormous in the Crisp siren-beater & in De Goey's goal.

The more i watch it the more impressive his game was. A victim of his own ridiculously high standards already. That handpass to set up Jordys flag winning goal was something else

Coleman had 22 to half time and only 4 in the 2nd half when the game was there to be won. He didn’t deserve the Norm Smith votes he got. Mitchell and Daicos were both better. At the end of the game I thought Mitchell was outstanding all game long with Nick having some great moments. After seeing the replay you appreciate just how good Nick’s game was.

Fair stretch back by Andrews to reach a ball when apparently standing over the goal line himself.

Incidentally I think Steele’s intercept mark in the 3rd, which was ruled not 15m, was quite possibly 15m and certainly would have been paid (particularly as it was off an interception) in every other match this year. Resulted in Maynard ultimately hitting the post from a much tougher angle.

Can’t wait to watch him play over the next few years.
I think we need another new nickname
We currently have the general, freak, the conductor, little master (sorry GAJ 😆).
“The Catalyst “?
Was the reason we scored 2 crucial goals.
Running out of superlatives..

It's hard when his dad had one of the best ever. We can spend the summer thinking on it

He’s The Teleporter.

Just realised he started off that DeGoey goal with a lightning quick collect and 2 metre handball to Pendlebury…. Next second after Pendles 40 metre kick hes collecting and dishing off the ball mid air in one action to Jordy. How did he even get there?

Absolute freak and half the things he does go unnoticed because he’s so lightning quick you cant see them in real time.

They didn't show a single replay of this on the day and Seven's camera's are so shit you could barely see the ball.

Surely this should have been reviewed considering the position of the goal umpire.

Unless I'm missing something obvious because of said shit camera work.

I hope they show the full behind the goal footage on On The Couch or AFL360 tonight. That deserves wide spread recognition.

I’ve been wanting to see a replay of that as well, because in real time I was convinced that it was over the line, or at least very close!
Haven’t been able to find another angle of it anywhere.

The rise of Nick at such a young age has been incredible. But I've reserved my opinion on him in declaring him an absolute superstar or Collingwood's most important player as I wasn't sure his current style of game would hold up in the finals.

The fact he had such a major impact in the GF means the lid is off. We need to make sure we do everything possible to support a Daicos led Pies dynasty. Go hard for the next two years whilst we still have JDG/Moore/Maynard in their prime and Pendles/Sidey/Crisp to provide veteran leadership and then reload again for when Naicos is in his prime 24-30 years
