A woman as ugly as Gobbo being a honeypot for high ranking criminals is clear evidence that crime doesn’t pay.

How did she escape charges from her uni days? It wasn't solely because of her surname.
If it was politics it would be “national security “What odds that "public interest immunity" is the most quoted term of the day?
Actually shot to shit this entire state. It's a joke. Yet no one cares. There is no structure or accountability anywhere. It's beyond the police this is just the wild westMassive error by Gobbo going on 730 tonight, completely shoots down her "too ill to testify" line.
What a vain idiot she is.
Rachael Brown was brilliant though.

If only more Aussie journos asked the hard ones like that.
Just straight up peppered Gobby from the off.
Once when I reported a crime (that was actively still going) they asked me what it was my business to report said crime. it was a teenager getting absolutely brutalised by a bunch of other teenagers 200m from their station, but they didn’t want to know about it, and were incensed I felt it necessary to report it.I always say that if you are doing the right thing, you don't need to worry about the police.
System has to be fair both sides. You seem to be advocating solving 1 problem weak sentences (imo this problem doesn't exist as bad as the media hysteria) with an all in police stateYet the biggest problem is the weak sentences and the slap on the wrists that judges give crims.
Maybe if judges were held to account and did their job properly, police wouldn't have to use covert means to get convictions. The real crims are the defence lawyers and those who sit on the bench.
This is a very naive post to make. Trying telling that to the 100 odd million relatives of those that died under Mao, Stalin and Hitler.I always say that if you are doing the right thing, you don't need to worry about the police.
Most who are critical are probably doing something where they would get in trouble for.

We need to spill the entire OPI and start again. There is no way to plaster over the cracks here.Actually shot to shit this entire state. It's a joke. Yet no one cares. There is no structure or accountability anywhere. It's beyond the police this is just the wild west

At Federal level there is often a mix on 'insider' and 'outsiders' (e.g. defence personnel working alongside defence department staff). The OPI needs a similar mix to ensure it's not mates investigating mates.

There are a myriad of States and Federal government departments and agencies who run investigations, many of which then test those charges in court.Problem is they are very complex criminal investigations so you need investigators with experience conducting criminal investigations.
Besides police or ex police who else has these skills?
VicPol need to be rebuilt from the ground up

Yet the Victorian prison population is rising massively because of the sentences we give.

But they get out in under ten years in many cases.
Are you saying that sentencing is adequate in this state?
