That mario party sh*t should have just been DLC for the existing game.

Disagree. At lest this way we get proper size boards, movement and item balance. This is because cost of stars back to twenty, max roll of six removed back to ten, removed unbalanced character items and allies. Even chance time and item minigames are back. I would also argue traditional minigames are better than limit to joycons.

Don't get me wrong Mario Party isn't like playing competitive sports to take seriously but still, it was out of line.

Was there a single new IP revealed?

I'll be honest. I've not owned a MP game before the current one so had no idea of those types of changes. I didn't realise the game was so different.

Why do you think its a rank ass story? I'd bet you haven't even played it.

Do powerful Italian plumbers scare you?

Yeesh. It's AAA season again -- Artificial Amiibo Availability. EB sold out, Amazon sold out, Mightyape and Nintendo store are the last places to go.

That's a sexy Amiibo.

Do you reckon Amazon could get more stock?

Excited for Mario party and advance wars for nostalgia - hoping Mario party will continue to be supported beyond the n64 (otherwise a ‘best of’ focusing on one console seems odd) but we know the history of support for Mario party…

dlc hints at Mario golf were great. Already very excited, but the future non-standard corses such as new donk city is Excellent.

We're getting the first game in the new Metroid Dread series :thumbsu:

Do powerful female figures scare you?

Come on. It jumped the shark when Ellie built that mech suit and saved Joel from the Fireflies' air fortress. As if she'd know how to refine the plutonium

Er RE the Direct I thought it was disappointing at first. Always hoping for a little more. But will get Metroid, Advance Wars and Wario. Looking forward to Golf too. So not that bad really just not very exciting.

E3 was missing a few things to make it really solid. New IP, a few big 3rd Party games. No Starfox/F-Zero. No Animal Crossing update or Bayonetta.
But it was pretty good. Really like that BOTW2 will be in the sky above the clouds as well as the original map and potentially dungeons below the earth.

Actually glad there's not that many big titles announced. I still have Mario Rabbids, Dragon Quest 11, Monster Hunter Rise, Mario 3D All Stars, Paper Mario to play and finish.

And I am getting Metroid, WarioWare, MonkeyBall, Pokemon remakes(if it turns out good) and Legends Arceus from now until January.

Of course, I am not going to buy every one of these straight on release for $70-80. Just showing how many games I have left to play going into 2022.

I thought it was a pretty strong showing. Kinda wish they left a Splatoon 3 or announced the Rabbids game here.

Btw. The store has some really decent games discounted at the moment.
