I wanted to read the alternative views. I'm to old and grumpy to give a **** about which argument wins.

I dont know ? I wouldn't have thought ignoring someone would therefore ignore an entire thread that the board moderators put everything media particularly club media related items that some flog just so happened to start.

That would be a shit system.

I'll have to work out how to unignore someone. You wouldn't think that ignoring someone would then ignore an entire thread, one that particularly goes on for ages and has important topics

Can you name one thread in this forum that has content that relates to the title after about the third posting?

I've worked out that the title is at best, a loose guide that can be used to help posters who can't really think of any semi-interesting off-topic point to add. I'm sure that the occasional lurker drops into a thread with a particular title on the off chance that there may be something relevant posted but they soon realise that the thought of thread topic purity is a dream as unreachable as their expectation of completely neutral umpiring. It isn't a thing.


The thing that unifies us on BigFooty, apart from being North supporters is that we all have opinions (and you know the old saying about opinions). Sadly though, many of us have the opinion that our own opinion is more important than anybody else's opinion so we shout it, dogmatically from any thread we please and shout down anybody else who dares to disagree.




Obviously I'm talking about Chicken Parma (not bloody "parmi") which is delicious and Dim Sims, which, whether steamed or fried, are not delicious.

Oh. And politics.

And wokeness.

And vaccinations.

Etc.
