Umpire gives not out decision

Aussies refer

Third umpire uses two types of technology to look for clear evidence to overturn onfield decision.

High def slow mo footage shows clear contact between ball and glove/bat

Ultra edge shows no evidence

With clear evidence from technology 1, onfield decision is overturned

Not sure why we are talking about this.

There is zero controversy and system wired 100% as it should.

Nothing “dodgy” at all

One of the bcci higher ups already publicly saying India were cheated and the jaiswal decision was wrong.

Sharma also whining, says the call was technically correct but India always seem to be on the end of these dodgy calls... Wait so if it was correct how is it dodgy?

I honestly don't know how people can't understand that the technology is fallible and that a clear visual contact with bat and gloves will always overrule a nil result on snicko.
This is why hotspot has been dumped (partly) and why Hawkeye had an allowance for inaccuracy
There was one muppet on twitter suggesting the ball deviated due to turbulence caused by swinging of glove and bat. HAHAHA

It was in our favour… and we believe the BCCI isn’t actively out to suppress us in running the game

I hate these kind of comparisons. Being able to play sport also relates to the socio-economic status of the population to some extent. If you are really poor in India, not every family is going to prioritise training in sport, if they need to get enough food to live.

Despite what we sometimes think, we live in one of the best countries in the world, without the fear of war, or poor healthcare etc
I was going to say that but had to delete my post because after reading I was exposing my racism. Thats actually a really good way of explaining it without sounding racist. Well done to you

Because the MCG serve up the same flat shit road year after year. Generally resulting in draws and boring cricket. If we didn’t win that (by right we shouldn’t have) the conversation will be rather different.
Haha, you don't watch cricket, do you?

2017 wants it's opinion back. The G track the last 3-4 have been belters.

Turn it up. Roads, they are criticised every year, year after year for their flat tracks.

Im juts not blinded by a win to abstain from picking the shit out of that pitch.

Yeah fair enough. I was thinking that after I posted it. My sister in law is Indian and we’ve spoken about it before.

Most people don’t even have access to pitches.

Those of my vintage will recall the pitches back in the early '80's. .downright dangerous. Particularly when facing Roberts, Holding, Garner, Clarke, Croft....

SpiderBurton22 Had to have a look and recite how many runs that pox shit bat team Pakistan made against our A+ grade bowling attack. 500 ish runs? 😂 pitch aint flat and dead though

Tell me again how many draws have the roads produced in the last 5 years. 😄

You're living in the past. There was a time about 6-7 years ago when the G was a risk of the Test being taken off it due to the substandard ratings of the pitch by the ICC.

They appointed a new curator from Perth, took him a few years but he has had great results since.

India has a middle class of over 300 million people, it might even be over 400 million. They can afford to give their kids the opportunity to play cricket even the other billion can't.

We have 25 million people and about 1000 sports they can all choose from.

You're using a game where 40 wickets fell for 1100 runs as a example a road.

I suggest you shouldn't go look at some Pakistan home scorecards. 🤣 🤣 🤣

The BCCI and Indian captain won't want to revisit the LBW DRS against Jaiswal hours earlier when it looked as though more than 50% of the ball was predicted to hit the wicket yet it went back to umpire's call. Same umpire.

There have been 3x draws in the past 30 years of Boxing Day tests but let's not let facts get in the way of a nonsensical rant.

Cheating is trending on twitter because of salty Indian fans lol.
O good, like me, they must be also upset about the BCCI cheating an outcome for Kohli and only giving him a fine, instead of demerit points...

The director of the building company I work for is Indian, we often banter about cricket, even though if I’m being honest I’m not much of a cricket fan. We say silly shit like what I wrote to each other all the time, it’s all good natured. The stuff he says about Aussie bogans has me laughing my arse off.

But he’s from the upper caste system..so of course I hang shit on him about how if they let everyone have access to the pitches maybe they would beat us etc..

Obviously doesn’t really translate well on here.

I honestly think they need to revisit the rules around lbw and percent of ball tracking to hit when it comes to the bails.
The rule is the bails need to dislodge for an out to occur. I don't think as much allowance needs to be given if the ball is tracking to hit the bails, it would only need to be a graze to send them flying.

50 percent for stump. 25 percent for bails would be a better system in my completely irrelevant opinion

When i visited india, I got the taxi to stop off in a rural town where there was a diet oval. About 6 games were simultaneously being played on that oval, but each fieldsman knew which pitch was his. Would have been hard for the batsman to pick a gap i. The field with about 50 fielders on the ground, and none of them colour-coded to which pitch!

Yeah, not disputing that, and in addition it's by far and away the sport of choice, whereas we have afl, nrl, soccer and basketball to compete with.

But personally i just don't like these populaiton comparisons... the media loves doing it during the Olympics when they have a tiny nation win a bronze medal, and they pull out the per capital medal stats.
