Gill trying to waste time = Out last ball before lunch.

Ussie trying to waste time = Out last ball before stumps.

Anyone reckon there may be a lesson to learn here!?

Fkin spud khawaja
Probably his last series you'd think? Konstas and McSweeney to take over full time from the Sri Lanka series for mine.

That said, if I was Kawaja I'd be more than a little annoyed at the disruption caused by my non-striker when I'm trying to stay alive for the last two deliveries of the day against the best bowler in the world...

OK, what about the bullshit distraction from Konstas. He needs to dig in tomorrow and make a half century. Otherwise he needs to go away and mature before he gets a gig again the Australian team.
**** that, he rightly told bumrah to go back to his mark and bumrah decided to turn it into a cofrontation. Big whoop.

Ussie going out to bumrah is as predictable as the sunrise. No distraction, he's just his bunny, and shouldnt go to sri lanka.

As I said, he's way ahead of himself. That sort of stuff is for Cummins to impose, not a 19 year old apprentice.

I donā€™t see anything wrong with it . Was a bit of gamesmanship. Uzi had every right to tell bumrah to wait a moment . No issue with what Konstas did or with bumrahs reaction after the wicket . I love that the young fella isnā€™t taking a backwards step . As long as itā€™s within the boundaries

Cummins doesn't do that. It's not his game.

Konstas does. And currently against the "best bowler in the world" he's got a 1 to 1 score. That being said, konstas team actually won the last game, so the 1 to 1is meangingless, becuase bumrah's efforts didn't win india the match.

So he can celebrate getting his bunny ussie out if he wants, because konstas told hom to go back to his mark when he was javing a tantrum about something the indians do as well (jadeja prolific), but his side is still losing and couldnt make 200 after choosing to bat.

Id let them know about that alll day long.

I see nothing wrong with anything.

Good to see Konstas not taking a backwards step against the Indians trying to intimidate him all within the laws of cricket.

But also there was nothing wrong with what Bumrah did either. Being rightfully fired up and trying to get into Sam's head before the start of playing tomorrow.

All well and good running your mouth off when you're down the non-strikers end for the last ball of the day
Dean Jones tells a great story about Boonie firing up Curtley Ambrose in a 1 dayer from the non-strikers end. Jones was like "Boonie, wtf are you doing? Stfu!"

Says the bloke that told Curtly to take off his sweatbands when coming into bowl to him. That's as fired up as I saw Curtly and he could get fired up.

Shit way to end Day 1.

I've never liked the Indian players that get into the space on the Aussie batters when they get a wicket. It's just cowardly and they do it knowing there will be zero physical repercussions for it. Because they know full well that the vast majority of em would get lumped up if it went the other way.

And I'm not just talking about this series.

From the days of Sreesanth, Singh, Kohli etc #pussies

You don't see the south east asian descent lads that play suburban cricket do it because if they did they might get a fist or even a bat to the face.

Konstas coming in has been a breath of fresh air and it's all a novelty at this stage but the young man is eventually going to learn a very harsh lesson. Test cricket is a harsh game and he's going to have some tough times.

Obviously he's young but there's a difference between self confidence and arrogance/recklessness. He needs support from his teamates, coaches to guide him so he doesn't get ahead of himself and learn to pick his moments.
