Not sure what the motivation of the query was. What did they expect the response to be? Why immediately after the game? Why advertise that you queried it? Why query it in full view of the public and broadcasters?

Looks and sounds like an outright whinge - whether it's justified or not. Crawley will be very lucky if he avoids some sort of punishment for dissent.

TBF I agree with you, but we do need to consult the moral guardian of test cricket:

the technology was supposed to stop these howlers

so hopefully Crawley does escape punishment

and as for Stokes timing...you're probably right that it come across as a whinge, but it does need to be raised by the Captain ,when its fresh in peoples minds. He's on a hiding to nothing
