This constant rain is a PITA, Brisbane should not be allowed to hold any test matches in the future.

Also not sure why they aren't starting a bit earlier to try and catch up on some of the time lost.

Yeah, I looked it up after. There should be a partial refund, or at least discounts for later days.

Kane Williamson is class. 150 on a track where most people have struggled and its nipped around with variable bounce all game
Poms put the cue in the rack for the last 50, but still a great knock.

I think the poms checked out on the eve of this test starting being 2-0 up . They havent turned up to play at all, that is obvious. Disappointing to see pro cricketers not care . The mind boggles at their efforts in this test. Best bowlers basically not even bowling in 2nd innings and runs given away without a care in the world

They played the first 2 tests the same way and it worked brilliantly for them, here it didn't.
To be honest they did check out a bit when NZ's lead got over 500. Most teams would

The problem with the way the poms play cricket is its brilliant when it works but because of the fast nature of all their innings it dosnt give their fast bowlers much time to rest and therfore Atkinson and Carse in particular who have been great all series did very little bowling in the 2nd innings. They all looked jaded. Besides when they made the 800+ against Pakistan they dont look to grind teams into the dirt as NZ have done to them in this test. Time for Crawley and Bashar to be replaced. They have both been given an generous extended run at it. Well done to kiwis. They could have dropped their heads as well for this test but they came to play for the sexy camel as they call him Tim Southee.

yep spot on. Carse is bowling 130kph when he was regularly in the mid 140's in the first 2 tests
Poms played some unbelievable cricket this series, but they had a fair bit of good fortune . But hey fortune favour's the brave !. ie Brook had more lives than Liz Taylor's had husbands, then chops the ball on first ball this test.

Crawley averages 30 after 55 tests..so surely he's on borrowed time. I'd think of opening with Bethell who looks a really talented young batsmen who's coming in at 3 anyway.

On NZ's side. sad to see Southee go, but to be honest he's probably played 18 months too long. At his best was a very clever medium pacer. But its time and we have some replacements. Will O'Rourke the quick has got oodles of talent. Got clocked at 149kmh in the poms first dig and gets really awkward bounce. Reminds me of Steve Harmison who was a really good quick on his day. and Matt Henry would have to win an award as one of the most improved cricketers going round over the last 2-3 years. Really good bowler now.

my understanding of it was just snatching at it in general, and he seemed to close his hands just before it got to him, but i can see what you mean

A fast bowler carrying a muscle injury, misses one match (where his replacement performed brilliantly and the team won) then, off a minimal time until the next match, they pick the injured bloke.

Sure Hazelwood has been a good player but if he was less than 100% then it's as much on him as it is on the selectors.

The Australian selectors are the opposite of George Costanza. George made good decisions by going against his own natural thoughts. The Australian selectors make bad decisions by going against any possible good decisions.
