He's the best option and young. Mcsweeney should never have been chosen, don't think what state he plays for has **** all to do with it.NSW Cartel again

That has nothing to do with the current situation, we replaced a retired opener with a bloke who averages 36 at state level and doesn't open. It was a terrible decision. Konstas deserves his selection. If Will Pucovski was from NSW, he would have played 20 tests before his concussion issues forced him into retirement.
Surprised he has played 11 FC games but still think before he has played 20 he shouldn’t be picked beyond absolute no other options, McSweeney should have at least gotten the seriesHe's the best option and young. Agree, I'm not expecting too much from a raw 19yr old against one of the best bowling attacks in the world. I'd much rather watch a 19yr old with a massive future fail than bangers or Harris. Smith to open and Inglis to five is probably the only other option.Surprised he has played 11 FC games but still think before he has played 20 he shouldn’t be picked beyond absolute no other options, McSweeney should have at least gotten the series
Long term think he’s it but very big call to give him the Boxing Day test to debut
Just would have kept McSweeney for at least one more game (short of injury or absolute terrible game), but it’s done now… just worry for the kidAgree, I'm not expecting too much from a raw 19yr old against one of the best bowling attacks in the world. I'm biased as **** but Inglis is a much better keeper than Carey, Carey's batting has been excellent for at least a year now. Inglis is in ripping form and should be in even if it's as a pure batsmen. Not picking people when they're in top form is why we have so many issues now.Just would have kept McSweeney for at least one more game (short of injury or absolute terrible game), but it’s done now… just worry for the kid
Inglis is in an interesting spot and you do wonder if he will overtake Carey

And young Sam will at least take the fight to them - instead of hanging his bat waiting to edge itAgree, I'm not expecting too much from a raw 19yr old against one of the best bowling attacks in the world. Apparently it was quite emotional in Sam's household when his selection was announced according to the news. And young Sam will at least take the fight to them - instead of hanging his bat waiting to edge it
Channel 10 news tonight reported that unlike yesterday, when the Indian team "refused" to answer questions from the Australian media in english, today they sent a player to front the media who doesn't speak the language!!!Indians sooking up and being absolute smart arses at their media conferences after Kholi bullied a female journo at the airport. Imagine if the Aussie cricketers did this. The media and sporting world would be all over them demanding sackings and suspensions. But as always the Indian team is untouchable. Why is everyone so scared of them?
A few ch 10 mentions by you today, getting ready for the tv destruction I see!Channel 10 news tonight reported that unlike yesterday, when the Indian team "refused" to answer questions from the Australian media in english, today they sent a player to front the media who doesn't speak the language!!!

He does enough to get a grab or two. Their media manager refused to take a question from any non Indian reporter.Channel 10 news tonight reported that unlike yesterday, when the Indian team "refused" to answer questions from the Australian media in english, today they sent a player to front the media who doesn't speak the language!!!

Years ago, in the early 80s I worked with an Aussie bloke who was involved with an Indian Swami and who set up an ashram and school with his wife in inner Melbourne. He used to bank overtime and take a Friday and a Monday off so he could fly to India almost every month. He does enough to get a grab or two. Their media manager refused to take a question from any non Indian reporter.
I doubt that many Aussie cricketers answered any questions from the Indian media in Hindi when on tour over there. The Indian cricket team are master trolls and I love it.
I don’t know why the tv was on 10. I couldn’t reach the remote to change it.A few ch 10 mentions by you today, getting ready for the tv destruction I see!
Renshaws 28 and averaging 37 in state cricket and mcSweeney 36. Neither are anywhere near good enough for test cricket. There's a good youngish batting group starting to take shape:
Konstas
Renshaw
Labuschagne
Green
Head
McSweeney
Inglis
They're all 30 or under and have test match ability, albeit some are inconsistent or unproven. Beau Webster and Aaron Hardie are on the edge of that group as all rounders. I'm less sure about the young bowling stocks: Todd Murphy is a bit underwhelming, Richardson looks cooked, unsure about Morris.
Renshaw’s been through some wild form slumps and bounced between opening and middle order, but I think he showed the temperament in his early tests, and has developed his ability to change tempo. Still think it’ll click for him one day.Renshaws 28 and averaging 37 in state cricket and mcSweeney 36. Neither are anywhere near good enough for test cricket.
