A few choice comments for Kohli too, I imagine...



It is an interesting discussion about cricket arrogance and the treatment of Kohli. Some online Indian fans cite the arrogance of Ponting, Warner and co to justify Kohli's crap behaviour (which is a scarecrow argument).

Even on the surface level, the difference always was that Ponting and co were often called out the times they exhibited crap behaviour (diehards aside). We are extremely hard on our cricket and sporting teams, including their behaviour. I love Punter, but he was/is an arrogant bloke (You often need at least some arrogance/confidence at that level).

On the flip side, every time Kohli acts like a flog, Indian fans sook it up and refuse to condemn him or anyone that boos him for his repeated crap behaviour. The BCCI covering up for him a second time is just icing on the cake. There was similar behaviour with the Harbajhan-Symonds incident where India played victim when it was obvious what Harbajhan called Symonds was blatantly racist.
