250 would still be very defendable, but I'd be way more comfortable with 300.

Not true.
Australia set shit fields and bowled mainly back of the length instead of challenging the stumps.
Yes, I was there and the plans from McDonald and Cummins were garbage.
Bowling Lyon when he bowls that flat quick shit was also a waste of time. Bowling constantly around the 86-87 km speed.
Australia went into Day 3 just expecting India to fold and got dick punched.

That’s only because he plays so much cricket on the sub-continent, which mostly has unfavourable conditions for fast bowlers.
He would dominate if he played here every summer.

The way we played him in the first innings is how you play him. You dont play him back in the crease. Its been a massive fail of leadership on how to play the ****er.
