Its not going to help them, all this fanfare carrying on by India fans is like they are on the Titanic, they have just hit an iceberg, water is gushing in, there are not enough life boats, the ship is going down and they can argue its the captains fault, the crew should have spotted it earlier or that it can't sink because its "unsinkable", reality is, they are going down, now it might be slow or it could be quick but they just have to stop all there bitching & moaning,
Sinking Leonardo Dicaprio GIF
its no ones fault, its life.

I always thought the Aussie umpires were bias at times like most and like you said were intimated by the likes of McGrath and Warne. Taufel for one I thought was very bias and still is with his comments.
I have never been sure why some regard him as a great umpire.
I did read a book where teams used to always complain about the bias umpiring of Tony Crafter.
didnt mind Taufel but Crafter was a shocker
worse one from a kiwi point of view was the LBW in the 1987 boxing day test. Morrison hits whitney on the back pad in front of middle. Umpire decided the ball was going under the stumps.....
Cost us the test

Brilliant effort although Im confused. Thought I knew most rules in cricket following it for a long time but his first action was over the boundary line not on the boundary line so shouldnt it be a 6. The ball had already crossed the boundary on the full. The other catches which you see a lot of these days is where the players first action is inside the rope, then the player goes over the boundary rope but keeps the ball in the field before tossing it up without his feet touching the ground outside the boundary rope 🙄
This reads like you have a limited understanding of cricket. But you've come to the right forum for help!
Let's start with the first one - they're laws in cricket, not rules.

thats just about the best outfield catch Ive seen. How do you top that
Its like he was playing 4d chess and everyone else was playing cricket.

There have been some incredible catches, John Dyson (I think) took some decades ago when I was a kid but that was just next level. It was like some Harlem Globetrotters trick but it happened in a game.

John Dyson catch is amazing - I think it tops the Maxwell catch, but maybe that is because I was also a kid at the time.

It was clearly missing...

...off stump and leg stump.

Webster to debut.
Why the **** wouldnt they just pick another genuine bowler? Why do they think an “all rounder” must play? Pick 5 genuine bowlers, Cummins and to a lesser extent Starc do enough with the bat. One would think it would be a genuinely good opportunity to blood another quick or a spinner to replace gary.

The selectors are ******ed

Marsh had to go!
Don't mind the inclusion of Webster, but we need to start blooding younger quicks soon.
Hazelwood is breaking down all the time and before we know it the other 30 y/o will as well!

I find the rules these days around the boundary in general to be a bit strange.

Surely it should only be four if the ball touches the boundary, we waste so much time determining if someone is touching it at the same time as the ball.

I also don’t get why the ball landing on the ‘toblerone’ on the full is six, the ball used to have to clear the fence so I’m not sure why it isn’t the same here.

I get the last one. The boundary line is the front of the Toblerone so of it hits it on the full it's gone over the 'line'.

You could write a fat book in cricket things that make no sense. Don't get me started on leg byes.
