Bancroft’s Big Bash over as hurt pair wait for CT scans

West Australian Cam Bancroft and Sydney Thunder teammate Daniel Sams both remain in hospital and are awaiting the results of CT scans on Saturday morning after their gut-wrenching collision.

Sams is likely to be ruled out for at least 12 days, which means he is unlikely to play any matches before their final clash of the regular season against Sydney Sixers.

Bancroft is also in concussion protocols, but his broken shoulder is likely to keep him out for longer. That could stretch into Western Australia’s Sheffield Shield campaign…

Head has credits in the bank. Agree with khawaja, would agree with Labushagne if we had two top order batsmen knocking down the door. Hopefully some good shield and county cricket this year.
