Let's also add whilst Green is an all rounder his stats as just a batter are actually better than the specialist openers apparently under consideration.

Only question is that if we pick Green is there two players in the top six that can open?

Smith says that he wants to open. While his technique is unique he is hard to bowl to. I actually think he’d be pretty good as an opener as he can disrupt bowlers’ line and length plans with the new ball. Plus he’s in a bit of a rut at 4 and the new role could reinvigorate him. He was still the second highest run scorer in international tests last year although looking at the list I’m going to assume with almost certainty that we played the most cricket.

Just wondering what craziness is in store for the 2024 US election year and what new wars will be waged and where.

My hot tip is if Israel keeps going down its path then Hezbollah, with Iranian backing will bring the middle east into a new era of chaos of humanitarian proportions and also at the bowser.

Also, go Freo!

American college football championship is on right now. Michigan V Washington, both 14-0.

There's a receiver for Michigan, Blake Corum. He's 173cm but weighs 97kgs!!! What an absolute pocket rocket! Basically the Crowden of college football!

Michigan. The important issues currently are that the Commanders are on the lookout for a new coach (yay … could be said Michigan’s coach— hope not) and have the #2 pick in the national draft (yay … through which they might finally find themselves a QB)

Similar to my dimensions and surprisingly I’m not a professional athlete

Agreed, I think Bancroft has the shield form to justify selection and deserves a crack , tho I don’t think he’s the future.

I don’t think Harris has had a lot of shield opportunity from traipsing around in the Aus squad so would be ok if he was given a chance against the Windies to make his case

Are ACL's misogynists?

Media giants sure like to grab attention.

I'm upset for Kerr. I've never checked statistics in this area but I'll take their word on it that women statistically have a higher chance of injuring their ACL compared with men.

To say ACL injuries discriminate against women is bizarre.

To be honest I have never heard of Rodionova but the real story is Australia doesn't have a single woman ranked in the top 100. Surely an historical low point?
God I miss Ash Barty
Tomljanovic is a much better player and is only ranked where she is cos she’s missed a lot of tennis. Rodionova is 34 for heaven’s sake and has never been in the top 100.

Jesus! Is there any W.A. cricketers (or any cricketers) that support Freo? Seems they all support that other mob.

I'm hoping Elise Perry does at the very least.

Steve Waugh is a Freo Dockers supporter. 2nd hand, but heard he was on Sport FM during last season to discuss cricket, and the same interviewer who was recalling Waugh's appearance on the show said that Waugh spent a good deal of the interview talking about Fremantle's list build.

Thats a massive surprise as I doubt he has much in common with west aus and freo.
