Well he is 35 in a few months. For every Peter Siddle there are 10 not Peter Siddles.
This is the same team that got Shaun Marsh off us with a three year deal and Brad Hogg with a two year deal. How'd that work out for them.

Behrendorff is not playing other formats of the game now so is going to look after himself.

We probably will look to bring in another quick but tbh I'm not sure they get too many games if Richardson and Morris are available - And I think they'll probably be getting games into Beardman.

Hopefully a few of our other uncontracted stay uncontracted for the next ten days or so. I think they'd be a few handshake deals to re-sign one or two when they can.

Behrendorff off to the Renegades on a 3 year contract. Apparently longer and more money than the Scorchers offered.😭💔
We definitely need a refresh as far as our squad is concerned. Behrendorff and Tye have been good servants, but it's time to move on. Kelly lucky he signed a contract before his disastrous BBL campaign.

Bowling has always been a strength, so it will be interesting to see how the squad changes, given our batting was also below par this year.

Tye, yes, time to move on sadly. But Behrendorff still has plenty to offer. After a crap season I would have thought holding on to the leading wicket taker would have been pretty good management. Maybe I’m living in the past, but I won’t be looking forward to him taking a 5-for the first time we play against him.

If the Scorchers can get Joel Paris (they are reported as trying to get him) it will keep that left handed bowling option and he is a very good bowler.

I guess this might also help us maintain Mitch Marsh who should be much more available next year.

Actually think the batting is alright if they can keep Marsh, Fanning and Hobson unsigned during this period.

What I think they should target is an all rounder that's both good enough to bat 7/8 and bowl four overs more often than not. Agar batting at seven is too high, whilst the fifth bowling options weren't really enough without doing that except for Connolly on slow pitches.

I'd also like another spinner in the squad so that two quicks and two spinners (and Connolly) is an option.

I'd honestly skip the overseas draft completely and sign the remaining two overseas players late. We'll maybe end up with slightly worse players but if injuries strike in November/December overseas players can be a good way of temporarily filling the gap.
