Think it’s more to push GWS out.

AFL desperate for 2 or 3 of Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon to be in the 8.

Their bonuses depend on crowd numbers.

Brent Daniels is what Ned McHenry should have been as a top 20 pick

Very important comeback win for the Giants given how tight the finals race is.

Makes it hard for Hawks now.

Last two rounds Hawthorn play Richmond and North, which would take them to 13 wins

That's going to be around the mark for finals provided their percentage is good

Their percentage is worse than clubs around them, but these 2 games could boost it

That Port win last night sure boosted their poor percentage.
We had a better percentage than Port a couple of weeks ago... & now we are under 100%.

That hurts the Hawks finals chances. Need to beat Carlton and then hope they drop one of Eagles/Saints while winning their last 2.
Blues-Hawks is an immense game. The Blues have the % and can just about seal a finals spot with a win ending Hawthorn's chances. A Hawks win puts Carlton in a perilous position and puts them in a great position given they end the year with North and Richmond.

Most Hawks can end on is 56 points. They either need someone in the 8 to lose all 3 (GWS is possible) and they need to win all 3.

They lose to Carlton, they need a MEGA % boost against Richmond/Roos and someone (again, likely GWS) to lose all 3.

Carlton have Eagles and Saints in their last 2. They’re in shocking form, but even they should be winning those.

I’d say if Carlton wins next week, the 8 is 90% set.

Imagine actually playing for a finals spot....

Gee that would feel nice. :'(

Yeah you're right, it's looking like 14 wins will be needed to secure finals this year
