With the AFL forced into agreeing on a Tasmanian team, and the presence North already have down there, all the planets are perfectly aligned.

It's about time the AFL actually did something that's "good for football".

I think certain clubs like North, Gold Coast, GWS and St Kilda should be allowed to die. But after what happened to Fitzroy and with the amount of money the AFL gets from TV rights now, I don't think it would let any club fold these days.

In an ideal world, it would be nice to have a national league with fewer clubs, a more elite competition. Other handout clubs like Port can piss off too. I liked it when the Crows were the only South Australian side in the AFL.

Apparently we were in danger of Nicks being poached and he deserved a contract, the only unknown about him was how he performed in finals.
