If you count kicks out of a pack yes, but he's still an elite kick otherwise and delivers the ball inside 50 as good as anyone in the comp.
I reckon Dawson is probably best suited to Murphy's stoppage mid role.

Basically play everywhere, follow ball, but no CBAs. Dawson has the smarts to play where he is needed depending on game situation.

Starting position wing.

Dawson is not great in the the centre break.

Our aim should be to build the midfield to the quality where this can happen.

Isn’t he the worst or one of the worst for delivering inside 50
Daniel Hoyne from Champion Data did the 10 best and 10 worst kicks inside 50. Jordan was 6th worst. Which even Hoyne'y said was a huge surprise. To the eye you'd never think that was the case. There was a quota of minimum kicks required to make the list.

Big pair of shoes to fill there. ;)

At one stage during the year im sure he was the worst.

On Melbourne, I wonder if they do offload Petracca, Oliver and anyone else that wants out and rebuild quickly. I think after 2017 we were to slow to act and by the time we were ready to move players on they had little currency.

Between Petracca, Oliver, ANB, Pickett and there own picks they could end up with 6 x top 10 picks over a couple of drafts.

I wouldn't bother with Houston and guys like Petracca and Oliver are not exactly good leaders for the club at the moment.

The downside is May and Gawn and probably Viney won't play another final for them

To my eye this year his kicking has been off, sure he hits a great one occasionally but he misses ones you would think he would make in his sleep.

Gameplan? Players leading to spots they aren't meant to? He's under more pressure? Carrying an injury/fatigued?

Will fit in well with port.
Would mean Houston has to go to have any collateral that Melbourne would want.

If they could get Pickett for Houston it would be a huge get given he still has ten years ahead of him. Port supporters say they need picks in their favour and Melbourne the same so will see what happens but probably gets done in some form.

The only exception to this I can think of is when the Geelong/Adelaide game was cancelled, in the aftermath of the Walsh murder (in 2015). These 2 teams played 1 less game than all of the other teams in the H&A season that year.
Wasn't the default position that we would forfeit (given how little football mattered compared to what had just occurred), but Geelong agreed to share the premiership points?

That's where the convo started. I reckon it's a misleading stat given how good he can be at picking out tricky targets i50.
The strangest stat I heard was Brenton Sanderson saying his record for inside with no score got passed Bergman this year.
57 I think it was.
Might have been no goals, but how can that happen!
