She's always been treated well in the coaches votes - she just usually had to share the honours with Hatchard. Anne's relatively poorer form this year has allowed Marinoff to scoop up BOG performances at will.
The real question is whether she will be acknowledged as the League MVP.

That would suck, although Firewalker has been suggesting we need to trade players out to move up the order in this draft so perhaps this is an opportunity? Her trade value would be fairly good at the moment.
Would her sister move with her?

Carlton are probably barking up the wrong tree targeting Newman even with her outside of footy interests she has been very open with her obsession with the football club from childhood and with the tight-bond relationships she has with her close friends in the team, unless Carlton also go after Munyard and a few others and group them up very doubtful of it being even entertained. Given Newman’s become the 3rd main midfielder this year given what you could get back with Carlton’s pick 5 & you wouldn’t get Rasheed so would wave off that offer.
Crows apparently have interest in Geelong midfielder Darcy Maloney but according to the article Sydney are front runners to land her. Shows for mine they’re still not happy with that current midfield mix and lack of fleet-footed options available in there.
Funny how Tayla Harris also could apparently be available yet again for a 4th club, wonder which Vic club would get her this time.
Georgia Gall the young tall forward from Melbourne that impressed against the Crows the only real name mentioned in the article I’d have a lot of interest in.

Yes, I'd hope we are looking for forwards before midfielders.
Of course you always want to stock up your midfield, but up forward is where we're crying out for talent. Honestly, we need to add in quality all over the ground other than KPD and ruck.
that's how an opposition team targeted Gould/Prowse last year. That would be a combo we couldn't afford to lose. Freo vs Essendon match for the right to play us next week is pretty close. Score is 26-22 at 3QT, with the Dons in front.

So... Freo next week. Last time we played them, over in Perth, we won 5.9 to 0.6. That was all the way back in round 2.

Hawthorn up 3.6 to 2.1 against Brisbane at half time 
Maybe I've underestimated them?
If Hawthorn can hold on, then that sends Brisbane over to the North side of the finals, meaning we would avoid them altogether unless we happen to meet in the GF. It would also mean we would play Hawthorn in a prelim if we get over Freo.
I haven't got to watch much of it so I'm not sure if Hawthorn are just on fire, or if Brisbane are a bit off.

Brisbane playing totally dirty ‘dark arts’ football, dirty little late hits and trying to manufacture free kicks for themselves. Absolutely under instructions from Starcevich to do so to try and intimidate Hawthorn in their first final.

Looks like at least one Brisbane player could be in trouble with the MRP. If they do win today and then cop a suspension, it would mean they would miss the prelim.
Dawes it was, she’ll argue she didn't turn to bump though which was true but she had little care for not hitting that Hawk player late in the head with her sternum/chest. Starcevich will go into full attack mode though if she’s cited.

From the little I've seen of this so far, it's a pretty good match. We've had three quality finals so far! Let's see if Port/Richmond can keep up the standard.
Brisbane changed the game post halftime into a ‘speed-fest’ just got Hodder & the Svarc sisters ect. to cause havoc with crazy speed around the ball and on transition

I'm not even sure if it was correctly adjudicated according to the rules or not, but a player who "dives" on the ball, immediately gets up, but is then tackled before they have a chance to dispose of it should not be pinged HTB. It's such a garbage rule. It was brought in to prevent players from trying to kill the contest, and instead of penalises players who are doing everything humanly possible to keep it going.
Jeez Brisbane are just arseholes to play against.
