Am I the only one who would rather a Collingwood win.

If they lose here the pressure on them will be massive and could see them come over here breathing fire.

Another tough game and scrap out a win would be my preferred result.
Weren't they supossed to come out and breath fire tonight?

Definitely a lot better for us if they lose.

Collingwood are reminding me of us in 2016, coming off the Grand Final loss and in patchy, indifferent form. Maybe they are still struggling to come to terms with last years missed opportunity. Not helped by a few injuries mind you, but the side that took the field tonight should be winning matches like that comfortably.

Was interesting listening to the prematch tonight on the ABC and they were interviewing Geoff Walsh (GM of Football). He mentioned that it was the players who took charge during the week in terms of responding, preparing and dealing with last week’s loss/poor form. It didn’t work... One wonders if they will now see the return of the obsessive, micro manager in Buckley. The laid back, more inclusive leader appears to be disappearing...

Longmire would be good for a team like Carlton who need an experienced head who could whip the team into shape. Yes they did that with Malthouse but he was way past it unlike Longmire who has only been coaching for 10 years.

I know its early days but Shaw could be a good choice for North.
Problem being for me, Shaw makes me like North more, he is a no nonsense kind of bloke from what I can tell

Top 4 opportunity opening for Brisbane. Hell even Richmond could steal it if the Pies keep losing.

Richmond have a percentage of 95. For all our concerns, that’s almost an additional loss for them at this stage of the season.

You are entitled to your opinion, however wrong it might be.
I think the All Australian selections may indicate how much his reputation overshadows his actual output.
He has never been in the top 10 players in the AFL in any single year IMO.
Fyfe has been the best player in any one year twice, at the very least.

The fact that he is a starter in all midfields is meaningless. Fyfe would be the no. 1 player in about 16 midfields.
Selwood will retire as one of the Cats greatest ever players and probably their finest ever captain, with a host of individual AND team accolades to reflect on. There's a good chance he will retire as a 4x premiership player.

Fyfe will retire with his Brownlow that he should've been ineligible for, a shitload of money and a nice house with no team achievements.

He's only captain because his club gave him the captaincy in a desperate attempt to stop him chasing the big bucks over East. Anyone with two brain cells can see that Mundy was a far better leader than Fyfe.

Fyfe is an elite player, but he's an average leader at best and from all reports he's not the most respected leader by his team mates either.
