Haven't beaten Essendon at the 'G since '96, I think.
They've only played them there a handful of times since though.

A very good squad has been built and is now ready to take a big step forward. Now have genuine depth in all areas.
Coach is the big worry, but with an acquisition from the Lions now helping and facing reality of no finals = sacked, is picking an appropriate team and moving on from role players and cooked seniors.
Could be high top eight (just outside the four), but who knows

Of all the clubs that Harley could go to, Essendon would be my preference. Not just for the potential juicy picks, but because even with him in the midfield they are still going absolutely ****ing nowhere.

I tipped Essendon too. Not that I thought they are better than Adelaide, no where near, but more of not quite trusting the Crows to back up from last week and put it together on the road.

I was close to tipping essendon.
They won 4 of the last 5 against the crom, who havent won at the MCG since 2017.
I just thought crom were due to break the hoodoo.

Pick 3 for McKay. North still in the midst of half a decade+ in the bottom two.
Imagine we got Pick 3 for Sandy Brock, how well our rebuild would be set up.

They are reminicent of 2018 WCE with the precision kicking, huge numbers of uncontested marks and accurate goal kicking from a potent forward line.
Differences in game plans and midfield of course, but some striking similarities.

Since Port are the biggest downhill skiers in the history of downhill skiers, especially at home I'm expecting them to give Richmond the business here to remind Richmond fans where they're really at.

To be fair they did mention it’s the first CBA he has ever attended in Port colours, which is coaching malpractice even with their all star midfield lineup.
