I grew up in Tassie and I have never heard this word before..."For those living north of Bass Strait, the Macquarie Dictionary says rum'un is a Tasmanian slang word for "an odd or eccentric" person; a scallywag, or someone cheeky. "
This is what generations of inbreeding gets you

Sucks for Ballard. Really rate him
There was nothing in that injury to Ballard , ACL really bad luck .
Bloody Optus Stadium IS cursed ,![]()
Continues to provide insight into why the AFL thought they could just magic away the Essendon doping scandal.![]()

I know that the conflict of interest is the obvious concern, but there may be more to it.
Article mentions that Kelleher was overlooked for the CEO position, had his papers stamped. Pissed off to the AFL instead, and now Geelong are getting looked at.
If he has an axe to grind, he would know where the skeletons are buried.
Thats small fry in the Vic Government corruption landscape. He [Kelleher] was COO at Geelong until October 2024 - any buried skeletons will have his name all over them.
If any evidence were to come forward, he would no doubt incriminate himself, and lose his own position.
He's there because he knows what is there, and knows the criteria to make it appear that everything is above board, so this issue goes away.
The Victorian government has dropped almost $150M in public funds over the past three years to upgrade Kardinia Park.
It does not want to see its largest spending commitment to "country" regions being viewed as a rort for a cheating club.
Shai Bolton sounds a good chance of playing this weekend. Surely there was no truth to him cracking the wobblies and demanding he be unveiled in front of the home crowd for his first game instead of playing away?
Remarkable recovery from lower leg stress injury if he plays though![]()

Rum’un Raisin the profile of football in TasmaniaShould be fun whenever they have a player done for the olde marching powder. Everyone loves a Rum'un Coke
If they really wanted something fully Tasmanian then they should've had a Scallop Pie as the mascot.Rum’un Raisin the profile of football in Tasmania
The only way I see this getting properly looked at is through an independent financial auditor who’s remit included follow the dollar not just auditing process and the like. A proper audit. Like what happened with Essendon through ASADA. Would require some form of whistle blower though hence Kelleher gonnna run some interference and potentially throw the dog a bone for something innocuous. E.g. with geelong we found impeccable processes, documentation and records etc but they did forget to dot their I and cross there T for the purchase of a skipping ropeHe [Kelleher] was COO at Geelong until October 2024 - any buried skeletons will have his name all over them.
