You know what else is a shame?? Freo get a top 6 draw next year, probably no chance of having the same luck with injuries, and their only decent tall forward is out the door, and another stop gap forward in Logue is also gone. They’ll pay massive overs for an overrated second ruck who’s already achieved premiership success and will come home for a massive retirement fund and produce f**k all, and their B grade ring ins won’t ever have the same seasons they did this year. Failmantle is alive and well.

Take note West Coast.

Turnaround has been quick (unsustainable once in a century run of close wins on a bottom six fixture was huge) so hats off for that, but have the really done much of a list clean out?

11 of the 2018 GF team out there today I think, and they’re the second oldest team in the finals (behind Geelong obviously).

Coaching change obviously, but the bulk of the list is still very much the “in it’s prime finals bound” list they’ve been for the last five years isn’t it? Seems more likely that last year was a massive blip to me?
