I think it’s something the AFL get clubs to put in the contract

It’s a stupid rule
I'll be surprised if the rich clubs don't adjusted their contracts over time to have the same clause. There doesn't appear to be a big reluctance from coaches to go to these poor clubs (Clarko jumped straight to North), so why wouldn't a club do it?

Freo… always good for a laugh.

I'd buy an Eagles kit. They used to sell one.

My brother in law just completed this year's MACA after my mother in law recently passed away from cancer, I think it's a great cause and the Purps should be proud of bringing it some attention and raising money.

What's funny about them helping raise money for a great charity?

My Dad did the ride and there were a fair few of those Freo-laden riders about. Good on them I reckon.

I should have been more clear I guess. I respect their cause am for sure. I think many of us have been affected by cancer. My laughs were about the design of their uniforms. That retro gear sure turns heads.

NORTH Melbourne has delisted high-priced recruit Jared Polec, despite the former Port Adelaide wingman still having one season to run on a lucrative five-year contract he signed in 2018.

~$83k per game. That rate is equivalent to a player being paid ~$1.83mil per season for playing all 22 games.

Per disposal it's ~$4111. Clayton Oliver this season alone had 97 less disposals than Polec's entire career at Norf. He also had 27 more tackles. Since Polec and Oliver are both basically paid for the same job, if Oliver was paid the same rate for total disposals and tackles he'd have cost the Demons ~$3.2mil this season.

Holy shit Norf was that a bad signing. But the trade was awesome too. Polec (and Pittard) were traded for the pick Port used to select Zak Butters, who over the same period of time has amassed 284 more disposals and 101 more tackles.

Suns reportedly interested in signing Dan Hannebery. If this happens, the club needs to be put into some kind of guardianship arrangement for its own protection.
Surely as a coach, right? I've nearly played more AFL games than DanHan has over the past 4 seasons.

If they're paying nothing for him, and the Suns don't have the cash to do anything else, I think it's a decent pick up? Apparently he's super professional, if he can impart that in their kids he could be a good pick up without even playing a game
