The issue with us getting it forward is that we don't move the ball by hand any where near enough. This makes us predictable and easy to set up against.

Loose defenders ~40m off the contest and we give them the ball multiple times a quarter with our patented hack kick forward.

It's a big reason why we look heaps better with fit Shuey and Yep playing. They just get that extra 15-20m on their kicks which carries/breaks that defensive line and gives our forwards a punchers chance at least.

Other sides are moving the ball by hand, by scramble by raw foot speed and breaking lines/splitting defence much more consistently.

I had a re-read of the Laws of the Game. There is no mention that players need to be fair and reasonable. What you can get away with is good play.

That's what I've been thinking as well. Right now I would not want to be playing either of these two teams.
Bit of an eye opener as to how far we have to go to match it with the better teams.

And from the same play, to call that deliberate out of bounds was a laughably poor decision.

I don't expect to see Howe again this year. Entertaining to watch and hope his recovery runs smoothly.
