I’ve been super critical of how unbelievably kissed on the dick Collingwood were last year, but this is some effort. On the canvas and entirely at sea after the Howe loss, eight in a row instead and romping home. Fair effort.

Still fringe finalists at best.

Had some doubts Collingwood would be able to back up again this year

On tonight’s evidence those doubts are unfounded

Geelong would be concerned a little with how Collingwood were able to run over the top of them

Stewart injury will hurt them too

Still don't know how we managed to beat them at Marvel last season

Because we had a Geelong like goal ratio and collingwood couldnt kick straight. It was an aberration. We didn't deserve to win either of the matches we won last year.

If Collingwood can play that brand of football and consistently win I would actually feel ok with them winning the premiership. It must be said Geelong had multiple injuries during the game and were stupid enough to play Hawkins half fit.

Best of luck to all the players who picked up injuries and I hope Taylor Adams doesn't have a minor foot break as he is a wonderful player.

Mason Cox is still just about the worlds biggest campaigner and Mcstay missing as per usual.

I think Brody Mihocek is a very, very underrated footballer and he has a great reach for his height. I think if Darling had had Mihocek's reach he would have kicked 100+ more goals so far in his career.

Who's better though? Brisbane, maybe? But they're flaky campaigners.

Last year Geelong was the best of a very ordinary bunch. Collingwood finished top four and they've fixed up their problem areas.

Wouldn't mind it, they play an awesome brand 🫣
If we can't stop their run and handball game, then probably not.

Our small forwards are not greatgood defensive runners, because they're so focused on offence, with one or two always playing deep, while Daniher and Hipwood get up the ground, so we'll be exposed on the turnover on half forward rather bad.

We've changed our defensive structure significantly, so it'll be interesting to see if it holds up against a team that runs in waves so much.
