I see nothing different to most matches:

arm chops let go (mostly)
late scragging on the mark to hold up play - let go - now a practiced strategy
push in the back is dead
if tackled - ball pinned or not - just flop and it will be a ball up- attrempting to dpose of the ball is high risk as mostly penalised - I thought we were trying to open up the game.

Story on our board, on the club podcast hosted by Rayner and McCluggage, they said that during Gather Round, Witho showed up at our hotel, jumped on (probably Rayner’s) bed, and didn’t leave. Room was packed apparently. (Would have been Hipwood, Berry, McCluggage, Rayner, Witherden etc. as those boys are incredibly tight as a group)


There was a fair bit of angst amongst quite a few of our supporters in regards to Witho’s departure.

Why do they not play Rayner in the middle? This guy is nearly the best in the AFL in heavy traffic?

And why didn't you guys get Ross Lyon this season?

As the Covid-affected 2020 season demonstrated so well, such matches have resulted in wins to the better rested team over 84% of the time since 2015.

• Essendon - vs Geelong (-3 days break)
• Collingwood - vs Adelaide (-2 days break and interstate travel)

Expect Geelong for a 12+ goal win against the Bombers and the Crows to pull off an "upset" despite being priced at 2.27 to win today.

Just had a look at Kanye Cornes teeing off on Clarko. When I watch the footage of North, I see the Clarko/Simmo "corale and intercept" game plan that de-prioritises contested ball.

North will be lucky to win another game this year and Clarko will be lucky not to end up a Malthouse/Pagan/Blight.
