A similarly innocuous collision and resulting injury put McGovern out for the rest of the season last year

Be interesting if Dangerfield plays again this year and how Geelong go if he doesn’t

Only 36 000 at Adelaide oval last night.
Second on the ladder and had won 10 in a row.

I'm glad our crowds are dropping off.........

Port have always been polarising in Adelaide though due to their prior history in the SANFL.

A lot of people don't want to support them due to their hatred of the Port Magpies and their dominance/arrogance.

So expect the tarps to be rolled out again when they fall off the cliff and suck again.

So Danger has a collapsed lung and cracked ribs.
Not sure how long he's out but it's a huge blow for Geelong.

They have a good 3 or 4 weeks from memory but have a tough finish.

Despite Barrett blowing smoke out of their clacker in today's Sliding Doors, I don't think they will make finals.

Wonder if both grand finalists have missed finals the next year before.
Geelong are more reliant on their older players than we are. Danger, selwood, duncan, hawkins, rohan etc etc.

They are giving me wce post bye 2021 vibes

Rohan would be an elite player if someone told him the game goes for longer than 10 minutes. As soon as he started to cool off at the end of the 1st qtr my immediate thoughts were "that's him done for the evening". Funny thing is his 3 goals are a decent return over the course of 4 qtrs, but he just tends to play his game in a small patch then be unsighted for the rest of the match.

People cry about us falling off after 2018, but at least we made finals in the next two years. There's been some pretty piss poor premiership defences recently:
-Bulldogs 2016: missed the 8 for two years after, shows it was a fluke flag that hasn't been able to be repeated
-Tigers 2021: missed finals, finished 8th in 2022 and now flirting with bottom 4. Cliff came fast
-Cats 2022: likely to miss finals and with the huge amount of over 30s, they're facing a certain rebuild.

Sounds like PETCH

except petch's 3 goals come when the teams 60+ points down.

We're still going ok.
Would probably even be higher if you took some of the VFL marque games out of the equation.

Still worth it.

Better to win a flag then being shithouse the next decade than being in perennial contention but never saluting on the big stage.

Holy **** the Suns and Giants.

I dislike Brisbane for reasons I’m yet to understand and hope they continue to fail at the pointy end for seasons to come.
