Would be interesting to see a highlights package of the innocuous little things that players have been suspended for this year. The myriad of fair tackles with no malice behind them that ended in suspensions.

And then this gets ruled to be ok.

AFL is a joke. It's compromised in every facet, from draft tempering Vic kids, northern state draft academies, differing soft cap rules, 3 year CEO search only to hire the already 2nd in charge, etc etc etc.

And Martin got reduced to one week.

Maynard could have gone either way - Martin’s was as clear cut as they come IMO.

IF the demons go out in straight sets 2 years running after finishing top 4 with home ground advantage, what does that say about their team? They were talked about being a super team for the next 3-4 years.

Poor recruitment after they won their flag. Went for a ruckman in Grundy instead of chasing a key forward which they sorely need.

What might of been if they were able to land Jeremy Cameron instead of the Cats

Bailey Fritsch cannot be your best forward if you have dreams of multiple premierships

Maynard chose to bump instead of use his hands to cushion the contact with Brayshaw's head so he's guilty in my eyes. Even if he's not, they need to introduce a second suspension category where guilt doesn't need to be proven, only impact - in which case a player can be suspended but still eligible for the Brownlow.

Hope the Pies lose by 1 or 100+ in their prelim, even if it's at the hands of the Port pricks.

As much as I'd love to see back-to-back straight sets exits for Melbourne, I feel like Carlton played their GF last week.

Dees probably a bigger test for Brisbane too, so would rather see that prelim.

The losers of the qualifying final normally beat the winners of the elimiation final, but lets just say i wouldn't be putting any money on Melbourne with their forward line.

Carlton looked out of legs last week too. I’d be loading up on the unders this week for sure. Both sides are scoring 50

Could go the other way for Carlton. Now the monkey's off the back, anything from here is a bonus.

HF: Daniel Chick, Ashley Hansen, Tyson Stenglein
FF: Chad Fletcher, Quinten Lynch, Rowan Jones

HF: Alex Neal-Bullen, Tom McDonald, Tom Sparrow
FF: Charlie Spargo, Ben Brown, Bayley Fritsch

Just proves that sometimes mediocre forward lines can still kick a winning score regularly, enough to win a flag - because they are fed by pretty good midfields, obviously, but forward lines are overrated. Flags are won by defence and midfield.
