Beginning to think this is the case also, one where we need to also trade our F1st for a top 10 pick also and work our way into 2 midfielders from this lot.

I still want Sid Draper but perhaps we can organise a way to get both O'Sullivan and Draper for example

There was a big discusion a few years ago amongst the American sporting analytics community, when your bad (for whatever reason), is it better to be really bad to get access to the best talent in the draft, or try to win and get stuck in the mid draft zone and end up a yoyo club.

A key point in the discussion focused on the list management and coaching staff. If you have a strong off field team, better to be bad (i.e. finish bottom) and load up as quickly as possible on elite talent, because a strong off field team will get you back up the ladder fast.
