Went to the showdown tonight, it was a bit meh, can't see Port playing for a flag, I was surprisingly antagontic towards Willie but he probably deserves it.

It annoys me that 3 of the best four teams in it atm are not top 4. Geelong and Port being top 4 is just depressing. But the Lions, Bulldogs etc had all the chances to secure top 4 and didn't take them. Port again with pretty easily late season fixturing to secure a top 4. Just a bizarre reason, I can't really see anyone winning it but someone has to.

I dont recall a season where teams could get out to a 5 or 6 goal lead but then momentum swings completely the opposite.way and that lead evaporates the next quarter.

Happens almost every game now.

Brisbane literally ran out of gas. They touched the ball like three times in the last 5 minutes. An absolute tidal wave of Pies over and over and over again. Ol mate Zac Bailey or whatever having a nice little stroll through the grass thinking he was on his own for 20 minutes before getting run down was criminal.

The same thing happened to them last week when they played GWS - were in front then in the last quarter GWS ran all over them - are Brisbane really fit or what?

If they are professional then they'll be expected to provide adjudication at a professional level - and when they don't coz they're updated weekly about what to target, how to adjudicate and essentially how to umpire by the AFL HQ and the media & public criticise them, then Kane will not be able to hide behind the fact that it's their part-time job. It'll never happen.
