Wondering why we played Geel first up if the intent for Rd1 was this "like v like" concept fox are going on about

GWS would have made more sense, with the Swans v Geel, or Rich v Geel & Ess v Carl.
so glad it wasn't Ess v Carlton...that would have destroyed me

They went for a draw that maximised crowds as much as possible. Hence why you put Eagles and Crows at home against average sides as they will get good crowds regardless. Like v like is garbage. And put GWS at home to Swans so Swans can play home game next week which gives Buddy 2 chances to kick 1000 in Sydney. I dont have a problem with the approach but no point kidding about like v like. It was a pretty good round excl our match.

Rowell is getting all the plaudits, but 23 disposals and 4.2 is a hell of a game by Rankine
He finished well but two were in junk time when the Eagles stopped running and McGovern was literally yelling at his teammates instead of watching the footy

Rankine was excellent. Did everything you'd want a small forward to do it. harassed, created, scored.
It's a shame King is out....they're building a team. their defence stood tall.

Rowell, Miller, Anderson and Witts really battled (though WCE middle was a shade of their former selves)
Thought Davies really built into the game late too. They all attacked the ball hard.

Don't know where else to post but, **** me have just seen the brother clean up Rowell if that's not 4 weeks, your kidding me.
Draper should've got a week atleast.
If Dangerfield, Stringer ,Sicily or Selwood had done the same the media would be screaming for 8 weeks.

But the wild speculation has taken on an added layer of legitimacy given Sydney officials are telling people McDonald’s manager Ben Williams had informed the Swans that another club is willing to present that (10 year) deal.

It all comes with the backdrop of McDonald being the sole top-seven pick from the 2020 AFL draft yet to re-sign beyond his automatic two-year rookie contract.

Recent Stan Sport documentary Show Me The Money revealed the Swans had tabled a four-year extension to McDonald, with Williams appearing underwhelmed by the money on offer.

Williams, of Players Ink, recently signed another Swan Isaac Heeney to a bumper six-year contract to keep him at the SCG.

I'd want to keep an eye on McDonald. Almost certain he stays at Sydney or wants to go back to WA, but you never know. Was highly touted as a junior.

I hope to hell that isnt us. Offering a 10 year deal to a 19yo who has played 7 games (9 goals) is professional negligence.

I dont care how talented he is or how high he went in the draft, I can count the number of players I would sign to that deal on one hand, and Logan McDonald ain't one

I assumed the 10 year deal aspect is nonsense but in general I meant him still being un-signed was worth keeping an eye on.
