he’s old & slow, i really think he should’ve hung up the boots last year with selwood, in the games i’ve watched this year he’s been wildly unimpressive & has had such little impact that the game would’ve been similar without him on the ground
Also had no pre season.

Is it bad that I don't feel one iota of sorrow for anything that Sam Mitchell touches and fails?

Hoping the cats do slide this season and spend a few seasons at the bottom of the ladder. Not due to any animosity, but just as a fan of a club that's spent so much time there while the cats have been on top.

Having said that, not disappointed with that 3rd quarter if it puts pressure on Mitchell

Doubt that it does, as a club they know what sort of season they are in for.

Agreed, but still ...
why are you the way that you are GIF

Wouldn’t be the first contracted coach in his second year of coaching, at a club where the club’s leadership understands where the list is at, to get slaughtered by Geelong early in the season and lose their job at the end of it…

End of the season? This is an instant gratification, fishbowl media cycle.

I’d expect ****heads like David King and Cane Kornes to be asking ‘serious questions’ tomorrow morning.

What's he saying?
They’re discussing it on the couch and showed a clip of him being interviewed by Lyon last year saying that if he thought coming back to play he was at a hightened risk of concussions he wouldn’t have played. It’s not about that, it’s about the damage that has already been done to him with the amount of head knocks he has, and the potential for more serious damage to occur should be receive any more. Lyon and browny looking at the issue all wrong as well, it’s not about current paddy and if he can play footy or if he has concussion after affects, it’s about how he’ll be when he’s 50 or 60.

The concussion thing with McCartin, you’d think every boxer is doomed and wonder how it can continue be a sport. Never gets mentioned though.
Difference is boxers go into it knowing they’ll get head injuries and happily take that risk, same as ufc. They’re happy to take the risk to potentially set them up for life.
