Did Cameron play in the GWS GF loss? He just said he thinks this is the biggest crowd he's played in front of, I'm assuming that got a bigger crowd
Probably louder, GF crowds are 50% fan 50% corporate

Oh they train for close finishes!!

lol

Finally, they got caught out rolling the dice. Numbers out the back gave Rohan enough time to drop a chest mark.

They have done very well by coming forward to overlap defensively. They roll the dice moving the ball. It has seen them MASSIVELY overachieve this year.

You can't keep winning close games relying upon Essendon, Melbourne and then Carlton throwing away game-winning opportunities.

Their percentage tells you how good they are. But you can't doubt their heart and commitment.

Pendles and Sidebottom have been amazing this year, but age catches up with EVERYONE and all of a sudden. Even Fletch looked a bit cooked in his last 5 or 6 games.

They have a tough call to make on De Goey. If they trade him and Grundy out this year they can load up on the draft and continue building their list as they should. However, if he goes and Sidebottom and Pendles diminish with age next year they could fall off a cliff and finish bottom 4 next year.

I just found it interesting how we can spend 3+ years supposedly working on getting a gameplan right (and failing miserably) and Geelong can just flick a switch and play a different way successfully.

It helps when you have the foundation correct.

The basis of any successful plan is going to be aggression and strength at the source, pressure without the ball and a two way work ethic.

From there it is really just tinkering around the edges.

It doesn't say they are doing anything radically different anyway. They had a willingness to 'blow things up' and maybe restructuring the coaching set up was radical but on field it comes down to taking more risks.

Was just about to say, no chance I could watch this if it was us.
nah it would be fine - we’d be 6 goals down by half time and not looking like giving any more resistance.

Collingwood losing by a kick in a game that really counts. Thank you footy Gods.

Respect to Gary Rohan, when I saw he was playing I was tempted to make a crack about Geelong going in with only 21 players. That last goal from 50 was impressive.
