Unbeknownst to many, last night's 148-36 scoreline was previously seen in the league in R8 1949 but it was a Collingwood-St Kilda game with a Pies win.

I'm really disliking the fact that Hawthorne's form is holding up against pretty much everyone they play. The Geelong game looks more an outlier at this point.

Geelong got them by being disciplined and not getting dragged into a foot race.

They played slower and made sure to always have guys defending the corridor. It helped they played at their home ground as it is skinny.

They also had bigger bodied in the midfield which bashed and crashed the Hawthorn mids abit. (Dangerfield, Stewart and Blivacs)

Said it before and I'll say it again. Voss is an ordinary coach. Blues list is one of the best, however they literally have no system or method to their game play. Week to week they look different, and heavy reliance on too few.
