I wonder if there would ever be some mercy rule being introduced in the future. If you're depleted with no one on the bench, the risk of more players being injured on the field due to not being able to come off would drastically increase

Massimo D'Ambrosio has been elite for the Hawks this year.

He has although he has not been the difference. He was elite when they where losing early on as well. He is an important part of their puzzle for sure but their midfield finding form from round 6 or 7 has been the difference. Has fixed up a lot of their defensive issues. Their back 6 is also quick so they can break the lines and they have fast small forwards.

Could you ever imagine Essendon beating anyone by 70+ points to take their spot in the 8? Be for real.

As for Hawthorn, I legitimately think they can win the premiership. They only need to make the top 8 and they can beat anyone. They've been the best team since about round 9.
