Feels weird to be sitting here as an Adelaide fan having to jump on a bandwagon as normally we're in the September race! But anyway...
Geelong: Love them. You often tend to get a bit sick and tired of a team that dominates for such a long period but this team is different, I absolutely love watching them play. Such a skillful side with so many players you just love to watch, and a true team that is so cohesive. The favourites for the flag, and I'll be cheering them on again.
Collingwood: Well, hard to see anyone outside of Pies fans cheering them on, not that it'll bother them though.
St Kilda: Gained a fair bit of respect for them after their post match antics to wait for the retiring Crows players, but not nearly enough to want to see them have success. Don't like their style of footy, and I look at their list and I see too many average players to be worthy of being a premiership side, but if they get up they would've earnt it.
Western Bulldogs: They seemed to always be a soft spot for everyone but it seems the Aker saga changed a few peopls minds, not me though. They have some supremely talented footballers, but they've been cruely hit by injuries with Cooney and Morris suffering season enders. They've always been able to knock off the minnows but struggle to overcome the heavyweights, 2010 looks no different, but they've got a couple of my favourite fooballers in Higgins and Grant so I'd like to see them surprise.
Fremantle: There will probably be people wanting to see them fail at their first hurdle but we're seeing the new Freo in 2010. I love watching them play, they play quick, attacking footy but at their best their defensive pressure can win them games. Were one of the best performed teams through the first 10 or so rounds, have dropped off a bit but I'd love to see them win a final or two. Can't wait to see what Hill can produce.
Sydney: Could they send off Roos and Kirk in a fairytale style? It's hard seeing them beating the competitions big guns, but they should beat Carlton and from there who knows? Got some exciting rising stars in Jack, Hannebury and Rohan, and have rebuilt their list quietly but very effectively.
Hawthorn: Really fond of the Hawks, so many individuals you just love watching with Hodge, Buddy, Rioli, Mitchell ect. They've got that ability to knock off even the best teams on their day which makes them a dangerous team, getting past Freo is going to be difficult but who knows?
Carlton: I'll keep this one short, I simply don't like them and nothing in me wants to see them success!
--------
Bit of a spiel in the end when that wasn't even my intention, but I'll be throwing my support behind the Cats because they're all pretty much legends and they play the way footy should be played.
