I think a fair amount of that was a form of copium. Most were upset for the price we gave him away for. Personally I was a little sad but assumed either Johnson/Erasmus or Clark would've filled the spot instead of Hughes which has made it a harder pill to swallow.

This 100%, maybe long term it’s irrelevant but with Melbourne having our first, the short term is very ****ing relevant and I can’t get passed how the club thought they could just put Hughes there.

I was never a massive fan, but you look at a lot of our wins last year and he was definitely a contributor. Also, agree that given our completely shitful wing selection this year we miss him.
