If we are signing contracts that long players need to be allowed to be traded to a club without consent in my opinion.
Could you build in a "relocation" payment from the departing club?If you want to push for that, given the expense of moving to a new town, you would start it allowing a club to trade a player within the same city without consent - which will advantage the Melbourne clubs and mean it can come in.
I've also heard of players being paid above the average being available to be traded without consent, with those under it being free agents when out of contract.
"How to use interest from other clubs to secure an extension" 101.How to say you have ruled yourself out of the Eagles coaching race without saying you have ruled yourself out of the Eagles coaching race.
Hinkley expects to continue as Port coach next year
Ken Hinkley expects to remain as Port Adelaide coach next season regardless of their semi-final result against Hawthorn this weekend.thewest.com.au
State nomination at a minimum for in contract players. Agree the wages of some players makes it difficult to have a blanket non-consent rule but there should be no nominating a club. Want to go to South Australia, that's fine but Crows or Port are the options for the departing club.
Port under Hinkley is like the Raptors under Dwayne Casey
Could genuinely see a new coach coming in and taking that list to a flag in year 1
hmm sounds like he saying how big the difference between AFL and WAFL is. Cruisey life in WAFL wins Sandover.
will probalby win a PREmiership medal before Caleb does.Caleb Serong will be pretty fired up for this week. His brother Jai will play just his 10th game, for Hawthorn, coming in for Frost this weekend.
Ouch.
