Wonder what’s that stat is for GWS.
Most quarters won for a team in two finals but two losses?
6 out of 8?
Doesn’t matter how many quarters as long as you win the game.

With Rioli leaving his best for last.An amazing stat on the Port board that they won 2 of the 12 quarters of finals footy they played this year. That's appalling for a team that finished second.
Losing to them in the last round at home with a finals spot for the taking was really high level pooch screwing. It's looking worse and worse that result
They always beat us especially in big games.Dull prelim. Confirms my belief that Port were not a top four quality side, let alone top 2.
IMO if they sack Ken they won’t have these mercurial games that keep their wins ticking along, but will be better in the long run. You can build something around JHF, Rozee, Butters and Burgoyne.
Swap the 2 results with them we lost.Anyone watching and thinking that these two aren’t much better than Fremantle ?
How the hell did Port get 2nd and Fremantle miss altogether. Far out
And they had nothing to play for.An amazing stat on the Port board that they won 2 of the 12 quarters of finals footy they played this year. That's appalling for a team that finished second.

That's what people were saying about Geelong heading into the Port game. I said in the game thread before the match that Geelong were more impressive against us. They are very even across the park. They'll have Stewart in there. Holmes, Bowes, Atkins, Dangerfield. Lots of physicality. They can handle Sydney at the MCG.On the flip side, I dont think either Geelong or Brisbane can get near Sydney's midfield, particularly Geelong.
1-4 in GFs? He’s like the one step further Hinkley.Interesting stat John longmire has won 5 from 6 prelims he has coached
That loss was Fremantle 2013
Port in finals dont count, it's Port in finals. That's what people were saying about Geelong heading into the Port game. Just know their roles, plus it’s the MCG.That's what people were saying about Geelong heading into the Port game. 30 years is longer1-4 in GFs? He’s like the one step further Hinkley.
2012 is his only one. 12 years is a long time without a flag.
Found out today that there’s a town in Scotland called ‘Bigger’ and its tagline is “London is big but Bigger is Bigger’. Thought you should know.Drama king.
It is but it’s also an indictment on Port.Losing to them in the last round at home with a finals spot for the taking was really high level pooch screwing. It's looking worse and worse that result
Nah Port are one of the stronger h&a teams, they choke in finals. You can't compare us to finals Port when we played h&a Port.An amazing stat on the Port board that they won 2 of the 12 quarters of finals footy they played this year. That's appalling for a team that finished second.

I've generally been supportive of Longmuir but that last month, and in particular that last game, was a coach killer of a month. Port haven't looked remotely like a premiership side all year. It beggars belief that they finished second. We should have beaten them twice. An amazing stat on the Port board that they won 2 of the 12 quarters of finals footy they played this year. Their close game record was horseshit, we were honestly robbed of another top 10 pick.I've generally been supportive of Longmuir but that last month, and in particular that last game, was a coach killer of a month. Brisbane better turn up Lions and not go all Bears tonight.
More fair Claire's if you have two non-Vic teams at the MCG GF though... might good for a bit of Vic saltiness along the way too.Going to tonight's game. On one hand, I want Brisbane to win, but on the other I think Geelong are a better chance next week.
I like Daniher, so I'll be cheering on the Lions.

That's the very added extra bonus, it will annoy the Vics.More fair Claire's if you have two non-Vic teams at the MCG GF though... might good for a bit of Vic saltiness along the way too.
Might even be worth a flight over with me kids if there's any chance of rare spare seats going. That's the very added extra bonus, it will annoy the Vics.
From a selfish perspective, better chance I'll have of getting a walk in seat next week too with my mcc
