Bo Allan will be a player, and Hewitt, if he stays on the park, is a player (high calibre)
Ginbey could be a good half back, who knows.
Their pain will come when Harley wants to go back to Vic

Jesus Christ, wasn't just one, it was a few, even a couple of normally reasonable ones. I would normally be all over those Warner and Pickett threads but I honestly can't stomach the level of cringe and stupidity in them. A couple of the most painful threads I've ever read.
Yeah I dipped from the Warner thread a month or 2 ago because it was incredible the kind of crap they're spewing but now they've infiltrated the bloody kozzy thread!

They have improved their list over the offseason, it just seems very short term to bring in players the age of Baker, Macintosh and Owies when they should be trying to build a team to compete in 5 years, not now.
Don’t forget they ditched Darling as well so that would have improved moral for the rest of the team.
Literally moral & probably morale
Hopefully scum of the earth is the only player to suffer an acl rupture this year

Be interesting to see what impact the new coach will have. From memory, it took a good 6 months for us to start to see Lyon's game plan embed, and it wasn't until the season after that it started clicking. Most of us (from memory) expected changes to be immediate. I wonder how much grace Eagles supporters have for things to get worse before they get better (if they get better)
On top of that mcqualter was pretty un-inspiring as the Richmond interim coach.
Lyon was a proven grand final coach.

Be curious who/what the fans blame if things don't start showing signs of improvement this season - is there anyone left of the old guard?

I only rate Reid and Hewett as potential a-grade players. Ginbey is a failed mid turned into a meh defender who can’t get or use the ball. Failed pick when they split what could have been Sheezle. Have a feeling Bo Allan will be the same and they will look at trading pick 3 with huge regret.

Basically they are stuffed and it’s great.

I point to the best u22 team. If you’re in a rebuild and your only player that made the team or was even close to making it was a Victorian who could easily go back home, you’ll be average at best in 2-4 years time when these guys are in their prime. We’ve got 4 and more who are on their way up and a bunch who are just 23. WCE are a long way off.

Yeah but they got Owies, Baker, and Graham instead to lead them back. Surely that's better than waiting for a young fella.

We should be able to burn at least a couple pages on this topic, which gets us that much closer to preseason games.

Thoughts on this idea?

Less injuries, but potentially favours Ross-ball more than anything I'd say. Not a fan to be honest.

Not a fan. Dangerfield is clearly out of touch with the footy public. Treats us with contempt by suggesting if we're starved of footy we'll pay more to watch less.

It's tough out there at the moment for people that don't earn $1m a year to work 40 weeks a year.

He seems like a bit of a flog.

what age is danger again? 34 or so, probably looking to extend his career another year or two with shorter quarters.
It’s a stupid idea and footy supporters don’t want it.

So the AFL will probably do it.

Where would we have finished if the season had ended 4 weeks earlier?

Or, for all you number crunchers out there, where would we have finished if the season had started 4 weeks later?

Asking for a friend.

"Cue Outrage" tho, jeez he really is a w***er isn't he.

Once we get to a 20 team competition, I have no issues reducing the number of games per season to 20 (play every team once alternating H&A over a two year period and your rival team twice). Then have an expanded finals series. They could spread it out to 23 rounds with rolling byes.

All fine. I just think this kind of plan should already be in the public domain. Or whatever the actual vision is. If there is one.
