Sorry, had a few, this place borders on moronic sometimes. Geelong broke the tackle record last week and didn't lay one for 6 minutes in that quarter.

The current result is a reflection on Geelong and nothing to do with Freo or JL. Like, **** me dead

Seems like they brought a game plan that actually works , doesn't allow cats to play on their terms.
They have a game plan where Geelong are unable to tackle or play with intent?

Are you guys for real.

Yes it is.
Shows Fremantle are all about skills and not intensity or hard work. Pretty clear the players keep failing in the face of any intensity teams come at them.
Geelong have done this twice

Intriguing start to the season. There's already a handful of teams who've looked world beaters in one game and dogshit in another.

Perhaps because Saints are moving the ball so fast by foot & aren’t as easy to coral. Teams know if you bring the heat around clearances we get panicked into backwards handball and are easily cornered.
It was as if Geelong knew exactly where our players would be every time we tried to exit clearance.
We were awful last week & Geelong were up & about & its unlikely we will play as badly this week but that doesn’t mean useful comparisons can’t be made about the way we’re preparing or how other teams are approaching how to beat us.

AFL is so weird. Geelong spend all their tickets on us last week? Saints who looked hopeless last week suddenly look amazing. Early rounds shenanigans.
No pressure coming from Geelong tonight after they break records last week. Fk sake.

This game couldn't be more different than ours. And not just the tackles/pressure. Geelong missing easy shots. Umpires not paying them numerous frees they would have paid last week, and quite a few resulting in Saints goals. Their best players injured. Tags applied.

Disagree, it is somewhat a reflection on Freo. Geelong knew to bring the heat last week because we shit ourselves under the slightest bit of pressure every time. We like to play uncontested, bruise-free footy and Geelong made sure that didn’t happen last week.

St Kilda on the other hand will match that intensity. Ross Lyon teams have always excelled at being a high pressure team. They want to make it an arm wrestle so if you play that like against the Saints you are playing right into their hands.

It’s all a matter of effort and simply put our effort last week wasn’t there.

Also, Geelong didn’t break the tackle record last week. They laid 89 tackles, the current record is 155 laid by Sydney in 2016.

Yes, sure that is a different argument. Geelong have not turned up, if we got this Geelong last week, we also thump them.

You people have all followed the AFL for years and still can't see how week to week swings happen and teams sometime don't turn up.

They broke the ****ing tackle record against us and now can't get near the Saints. This specific game is not relevant to Freo at all and anyone trying to justify Ross is some tactical genius because of this game should go have a debate with Luke Jackson.

Honestly, I saw two different people day Geelong broke the tackle record so I assumed it was correct. Sorry for false information.

The rest of it I don't care about, if Geelong had the intensity they had last week the scores would be reversed.
