Not sure whether this controversial or not, but I don't think that Adelaide are that well coached and/or the players can't follow a game plan. They have best talent especially kicking but are rarely in good position in their forward half.

Just my observation; think there’s been a bit of a drop-off in skills across the board this season. Might just be the lift in pressure, but it isn’t doing the game any favours as a spectacle.

Just my observation; think there’s been a bit of a drop-off in skills across the board this season. Might just be the lift in pressure, but it isn’t doing the game any favours as a spectacle.

I would speculate that it's largely down to coaching and recruitment. The Hawks and the Power are well-coached and they seem to have put a lot of effort into selecting players that complement each other and are able to play a brand of footy that fits with the existing structures. There are quite a few sides that just seem to fill a squad list.

On the plus side if you do the latter you can just complain about the players being the reason your team is bad like the Dogs coach did.

Yeah, I think there are more mid-range teams who can negate the big kids a little more than they used to be able to.
