Eddie didn't get sacked. He resigned. People have been banging on about his inappropriate comments for years and he never got sacked for it. The only thing that changed now is Lumumba started speaking out, a review was commissioned and Eddie wasn't competent or humble enough to treat the situation with the seriousness it deserved. And so the public pressure grew enough for him to resign. Why is that a bad thing? Why should our society continue to tolerate boorishness from people in positions of power?
