It's a bit sad watching Franklin play these days. Should've retired end of last year.
It's hard to retire when you're still getting a decent pay packet to roll out each weekend.

Sure, but I find it difficult to believe he wouldn't have sufficient investments and job opportunities from 18 years in the AFL, many of those years as one of its highest-remunerated players.
It appears to be part of the human condition that the more money you have the more you want.

Funny you should say that M Malice.

I was just talking to a mate of mine about the 'successful' people we've known and no matter how lucrative the monetary success all it ever did was fuel even more desire for more successes. Often at the expense of family ,lifestyle and health.

So I'm glad I've failed at many things.

I am a complete failure

I think the top 8 is now set for finals. I don’t see changes from the current mix. I think the suns will rise, but just miss out…
Could be pretty close.
The 2 that are most likely to fall would be StKilda and Carlton and the 2 most likely to push for the 8 would be Adelaide and Sydney.

IMO the Blues wont make the 8, their next 5 games > Bulldogs, Magpies, Swans(A), Demons, Bombers.

Can realistically see them losing all 5 of those, if so Vossy could be the first coaching casualty of the season.

And on their death beds, possibly lacking all familial comforts except what their money can still buy (if they still have any), their final worlds will all but certainly not be "I wish I had spent more time at the office"
