That's instant dismissal in pretty much every workplace.
Yeah of course it is.

Let's instantly dismiss him and never forget what he did , whatever it was.

Not that we'll ever really know because they've had the indoor inquisition and apparently no one's at fault but he's doing the right thing in resigning in the interests of his club.

I don't know how they put this crap out there with a straight face.

You're glossing over the (most likely) fact that he sent a dick pic, accidentally posted it instead, and then claimed he was "hacked" in a world where if you're getting hacked they're not sending dick pics.
I still reckon someone he knew, that knew of something he was doing privately, tweeted it from his account.

Yep.

It's smelly all round.

They made an issue of talking with the woman involved but there's no apology to her or admission of wrongdoing on his part.

The AFL are geniuses at making mountains out of molehills.

I feel a bit sorry for his family.

Just on your point though it's inconceivable someone of his intelligence ( I'm assuming you need a few neurons to be Carlton President ) would be sending that sort of material to a likewise person in a similar position of authority without some sort of prior interaction or a reason to believe that it's not totally unwelcome.

Hysterical all round.
I've met enough of that level to know it's definitely not inconceivable. It's absolutely unlikely but there's some absolute pieces of shit who float to the top.

One of two options - that, or he literally just ****ed up when trying to send a DM.

what gets me is the fact that this idiot who presided over all manner of heinous shit at pwc somehow faces no consequences for his own actions yet again. beggars belief how he even wormed his way into these positions of authority.
What's even more incredulous is that Sayers went on record and said he had no knowledge of what PwC was up to with those tax leaks scandal despite bein the CEO whilst he was supposedly also head of Tax and Legal or from that background.

I mean how is that even possible? Sure, he resigned before all of that broke but it was on his watch and secondly, how can you not question that he resigned because he knew the shit would hit the fan and he was protecting himself by distancing himself from PwC.

Its pretty messed up in this age of corporate governance that he escaped punishment.

The sheer fact the AFR runs with headlines such as this IMO proves that the dick-pic, PwC debacle aren't the first times that shit don't stick to this cat.

Weaponised ignorance. It's not uncommon - you won't be held accountable if you deliberately avoid finding out anything (even if you absolutely should be, because that's your job).

King wanking over a big Vic club. Thats news?
King is another in the long line of Vic journos that just pander and praise everything this club does without ever criticising them. I don’t know what the infatuation is that the Vic media has with Collingwood when there are more that hate than like them but we’ll continue being the biggest brown noses to them anyways.

Media finally catching up to what I’ve been saying for a while:

Can't read the article but it's telling that out of all the teams that play more than a handful of home games there, only 1 has won a flag since 2000.

It's yet another reason why I was a massive advocate for making the dimensions of Michael Voss Oval as close as possible to those at the MCG. Which is also what we should be aiming for with any new stadium in Brisbane.

Going back a while but Richmond were perennial bottom dwellers until they moved their home games to the MCG in 1965 which preceded their most successful era.

Having said that Melbourne have played at the MCG since forever.

Just my opinion, but it may be about playing indoors with no wind to speak of.
Also, from what i read ( i have never been there) it is quite a hard playing surface.
So, always a fast track opposed to one that can change from week to week at the MCG and all other grounds really.

Without checking the facts teams based there probably get to play as many games at the MCG as interstate teams though.

Only really applies to North, Saints & the Dogs looking at the 2025 fixture. Carlton & Essendon still play more games at the MCG than those other three teams.
Wow even Essendon play more games at the G.

But that would include their away games at the G right?

I see the Carlton Pres has fallen on the sword after offending someone on a SM post which he claims was hacked and put up by someone else.

Two things . Firstly he sounds like a bit of a dill but besides that the world is now officially nuts with all the crap that gets regurgitated every day over next to nothing.

Secondly the Blues are always perfecting new ways to self implode.

Is that a euphemism? ;)

Even just counting their home games at the 'G next year, it's higher than interstate clubs. Carlton: 6 & Essendon: 4
Yep. To be honest, Vic clubs wanting more games at the G is good for us, and all non-Victorian clubs. We can bitch and moan all we want about "Vic bias" (and I love doing this as much as the next person!), and how the big Victorian clubs always get their way.

But, they have to play someone there at the MCG...

to be completely fair, the marvel tenants outside of footscray have been run by idiots from top to bottom since 2010 onwards.

Don’t disagree but it’s not like the dees have been run well either. Even Collingwood was run so badly they had to fire sale to be salary cap compliant.

Think the article covers the issue well - less home ground advantage at Marvel, and the small marvel clubs are almost always the ones who have to play the cats at SportsRorts Stadium.
