Re: Wheels On The Bus

im not against paid players, infact, i may or may not be one myself. However what i am against, is guys going backwards and forwards between clubs, because of cash.

If you sign to a club, i believe that you should put your heart and soul into that club, until the time comes where you should move on. Sides like charlton for example, have become a force year in and year out, because of consistancy in their side. guys like judd, finlay, clifford, thompson, walklate brothers, were all prodigys of the charlton football club. if guys like judd, finlay, and the walklate brothers had of left, and come back a year apart, there is no way that charlton would have been as successful as they have been in recent history. Boort, Wedderburn, Wycheproof, and St Arnaud are pretty much the same, with Boort playing (except for 2006) a pretty home based side. Wycheproof are one of the most sucessful clubs in the entire sport, because of their team that takes the field each week, not because of what they spend before each season. (this is probably why they have been quiet for a few years.)

The point i am trying to get across, is that the football played on each saturday during winter, should be more important than what happens up until late march each year.

Players like Lance, are the ones that are taking the football away from the SPORT.

AFL is no longer a sport, its a Business/Career. Unfortunately, country football is heading the same way.

Re: North Central Football League

if everyone had a heart as strong as rocs (given the obvious, it must be strong!!) then the world would be a better place    (what am i saying???)

Lets get back to the real stuff. Who is going to coach Charlton if Rick Andrews isn`t. He`ll be a hard man to replace.

lance was very good for the boort FC, he was outstanding on and off the field with his leadership, always had time for the kids he was a special guest at the debut ball which was held on a friday night before a game, was at all the functions, this bloke did everything possible to be fit and gave the club/town/league great service. :thumbsu:

Except hang around to start building the youngsters up :thumbsu:

How many senior training sessions did he attend between round 1 and the final

u r right burner. i think many people from other clubs and outside the league got the impression that he was only turning up every saturday for the money. There is nothing wrong with getting a little bit of cash from a club which u put your heart and sould into, but this was not the case for lance.

Re: North Central Football League

This sounds like a job for centre bet, what are the odds on this missus gettin fu ked by roc and the odds for the whole st arned team (including needsy) aswell:D

i think the odds are in my favour. but if i do lose the bet i dare say she will be a bit sore. Hopefully needsy, roc and the whole st arned side will be like u and think that their dic is 4 pissin out of:thumbsu:.

Re: North Central Football League

just a question, wheres "st arned"? i think you are on the wrong forum buddy, theres no "st arned" in this league.

Maybe try the pre-school version, wedabern, st arned, doneld, berchip/whatshem, witchyprewf, boart, and charletun all play there. The premiers are allowed to choose who uses the "tonka truck" first :thumbsu:

haha thats pretty funny. Actually i just used slang. like when ur texting a message. Sorry i will put more effort in my vocabulary in the future. Obvisously you are just a piece of sh it that has nothing better to do, but go on this site and check everyone's spelling. Im happy to have a spelling competition with you though. i (sorry, no capital) do agree with you though, the premiers should be allowed to choose who uses the tonka truck first. Its only fair, because after this year you wont get a crack at the "tonka truck" for another 37 years. :thumbsu:

Speaking of the Tonka Truck, will he be playing in the red an black next year or joining capt. Westo in the red an white.

Re: North Central Football League

ON a serious note guys, maybe Roc can help out, how many players will Wedderburn lose over summer ?
:eek:Are they going to have another real crack in 08 or like Geelong go for 3 in a row to emulate Brisbane from the early 2000s in the AFL

Re: North Central Football League

Stories circulating that Cliff Ryan is returning to Lake Boga in the Central Murray Football League. If its true you would anticipate the other players travelling from Swan Hill who are also from Lake Boga will follow suit.

Re: North Central Football League

Add Robbie Lee on the apparent Departures list. From what i hear, he is Beulah bound

Coaching? Beulahs coach did get the sack near the end of the 07 season. With Robbie nearing the end of his career I would have thought he'd finish up with his home club Birchip but i guess his services would still be in demand as a coach and or player.

I tell u what mate Lance didn't come to Boort for the money last year and i promise u he could have got double the amount of money he was gettin at Boort anywhere else.. He come to Boort to play in a grand final with his brother and after that fell through he decided to actually go and play at a level of football that he would benefit from.

Re: Wheels On The Bus

Yeah grail, i probably stepped across the line there, but im sure you can see what im getting at, and you probably would agree

I have heard that a couple of their younger blokes are heading to South Bendigo, but other than that, its been pretty quiet over at the burn, since the end of the season (on the transfer front)

And which young blokes would that be roc. I can certainly tell you that both the tonka's will be playin in the red and black next year after the success they have had this year there. Heard a roomer that even Capt. Weston might be back too to finish off his career at his original club.:thumbsu:
Not many departures yet from the burn.

Tonks, must have changed his tune then. I was talkin to him at the BFL final when South Bendigo beat Sandhurst and he said he wanted to have a crack at the BFL to see if he was good enough.

Re: North Central Football League

Don't think so mate. Coaching Birchip again next year...

Would it be fair to say this would be his last year coaching Birchip then? The message must be starting to get a bit stale. He has arguably had a good enough list to win the flag the last two seasons and has underachieved in my opinion that is.

Arguably? no arguements from here!

Re: North Central Football League

Bend It, has Donald started its recruiting drive yet, any big names to be wearing the royal blue jumper next season, that you know of? Wouldn't think money would be an issue as not too many blokes would have been paid this year.
