Have heard Jake Bish is going to take the job on at Wycheproof to save some coin, and let them go chase some big names; possibly out of Swan Hill.

Would be a bit rough on Boort's current coach if that is true. Grand Final in his 2nd year.....

Re: North Central Football League

not sure about funcke and lee, rumors circulating that lee may head back to CMFL with lake boga. would love to see boort have another crack next year and not be one season wonders! premiership or not!

would be surprised of the travellers would come back 4 years in a row. Except the fat one (#10??) rekon he must love the trip. What other league would he get a game in the seniors!

pigs might fly. he lives in birchip, his wife has just had twins which wouldn't exactly be ideal to travel with each weekend, and to my knowledge has the coaching job for as long as he wants it.

Re: North Central Football League

Just wondering if anyone knew the chances of Matt Rice lining up for boort on the w/e.. If he did where would he play and of how much value would he be??

Should he be available come sat week, i can't see boort leaving him out... moreso now they dont have to worry about "dropping someone" in the grand final to make way.

Back to Footy...

Tips:
Donald vs Birchip - Donald by 5 goals, with Rhodes and Anderson out, will be much closer than it would be otherwise, but donalds still too strong
Donald vs Wedderburn - Donald for me, had a bit of a hiccup over the last month or so, but still too strong
St Arnaud vs Charlton - St Arnaud, the gap between 2nd and 3rd was highlighted during the year
St Arnaud vs Charlton - Probably Charlton, but no one can challenge donald come next week

Definitely time to get back to the footy...

Seniors Donald Vs Birchip - should be a cracker... Don't under estimate Birchip... Scambler and Smith firing and Cliffy kicking straight anything is possible.. Game will hopefully be up for grabs until late in the final quarter.

Reserves: Donald Vs Wedderburn - another classic... Wedderburn a good mix of youth (Mills, James, Tonkin, Brett) and experience (Lockhart, Hall, Holt)... Have the ability to win this one and are quietly confident... They pushed Donald with a side that barely resembles the one they will run out on saturday.. Donald maybe just slipping at the wrong time of the year.. Often happens in the reserves, side untroubled all year goes out in straight sets especially if they have a senior side in on the same day...

16s: St Arnaud Vs Charlton - What cani say if St Arnaud are going to get near Donald on Grand final day they must pump Charlton... Charlton will be relying on about 8 u14 players to make up numbers... McGrath for Charlton has been the stand out the last couple of weeks and a lot will rest on his shoulders.

14s: Charlton Vs St Arnaud - Charlton clearly the 2nd best side in the U14's comp all year, but still about a 5 goal worse side that Donald. Charlton wil hopefully put St Arnaud out of the contest early on...

Re: North Central Football League

Hey cokc sucker, as I said yesterday, I don't think you are being fair to the Boort people here. I think the majority of people pised off on this thread about this decision have no relation to Boort. I bet the players aren't even concerned. It is out of thier hands, nothing they can do about it anyway. With all due respect, we are talking about a bloke that normally plays of a flank/back pocket. Not exactly a domiant ruckman, key forward or gun onballer. Boort still have plenty of ammo[/quote]
Well said. It would be more of a worry if Drew Bartram was repoted and outed. He is a gun and will shine come grand final day. Go Magpies!!!!!!

have to wait and see, might check out the game at carlton this saturday, if he does play for boort in the GF he would play forward/onball and will be of great value, love to have him as a magpie for the day.

So how we all think Ponnochio will go in the appeal????

There was an error made last year when Connors was suspended too, and nothing came of that (wrong date or something minor like that), so chances are, unless its a MAJOR problem (ie report papers said it was for something else, not striking) then id say the 1 week will stand...

As i think patty said, its different from the AFL Tribunal, or a court, in that 'minor details' such as the Date on the form aren't a big issue, if brought to the tribunals attention prior to the start of the tribunal session.

And as for the comment about #10 Pudger, he may have stacked some beef on but he has still kicked 50+ goals two years in a row and could just win Boort the granny as he plays on the 2nd or 3rd defender.

Yea, as i said, unconfirmed.... if u can't 'bathe' in it, chances are they dont want kids running around near the resivoir either, which wont work in their favour... plus that the ground is watered from that resivoir...tryin to get hold of someone now to find out :)

ground is not watered from the resivoir, both resivoirs are fenced off now so eliminates the kid problem, i doubt parents would want their kids running around near the water algae or not. so that comment was DUMB!
as far as ive heard the club has been given the go ahead to host the final from the water board! i believe birchip will be sweating on this, a small ground will help there chances significantly!
